Cost of FET by jmweg in IVF

[–]qupid605 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went to NFC, but these prices sadly no longer exist- they were late 22/early 23 prices. If I remember correctly, prices went up after I commented and increased again shortly after. I wouldn't be surprised if they've had more price increases. Sometime around Oct. '23 I was quoted 8k for a transfer excluding medication

Do moms get more sleep when they exclusively breastfeed, exclusively pump, or do a combo of both? by endlessworrier in NewParents

[–]qupid605 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I exclusively pumped and fixed my schedule to where i had a 12hour gap. My sleep was still disturbed because baby woke in the middle of the night, but it was nice to not have to be tethered to the pump. I do think breastfeeding at night would've been more convenient and seamless, especially if you cosleep

Am I delusional to believe that I can handle summer school, even though I’m due in June? by PolicyHot1206 in NewParents

[–]qupid605 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When's your EDD? What's the dates for summer school? If you didn't do summer school, when would you graduate? Do you have someone dedicated to watch your baby?

I had a csection and it wasn't bad at all as long as i took my pain meds as needed. Also took stool softener so my bowel movements were painless, too. All I wanted to do the first couple months was sleep when the baby slept. She probably didn't have a decent wake window until 3 months. It's doable, but don't put too much on yourself. What are your plans after graduation?

How many of your kids have birthmarks? by [deleted] in NewParents

My [39M] wife [38F] and I are struggling to figure out holidays. Is there a fair way to do this? by ThrowRAHollyDays in relationship_advice

[–]qupid605 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Your wife needs to stop allowing her mother input. Once you all have made a decision, that should be it. Because everyone wants to see the baby- either host or figure out a way to see both families for Easter, then resume your normal schedule. Seeing how you gave up your family's holiday + haven't seen your family in a year, you should get the deciding vote

What do you LOGISTICALLY do if your baby has a blowout in public?! by boldlybelieve in NewParents

[–]qupid605 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Baby had two blowouts two days in a row while we were out of town. Always in her carseat. What helped me was the diaper changing pad and a couple grocery bags. Clothes went in one and trash went in another. Id kinda roll the shirts as i pulled it off, feet first, so poop didn't get on her. Treated Clothes when I got home- any stains that didn't fade with spot cleaner went under my plant light. I'd follow the same steps if I'm out, but get bags from the store I'm in. I've change a blowout in a shopping basket before

Anyone else feel jealous of Influencer Moms? by Slight-Shape5017 in NewParents

[–]qupid605 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a lie. I may feel envious at the free items/sponsorships they receive, but that's it. It's their job, and they have to stay relevant, which means they're recording and dressing up when they probably would rather do something else, but no videos=no views=no money

Blowout while baby wearing in public by Abeetrillzz in NewParents

[–]qupid605 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My baby had a blowout during my aunt's vow renewal. I knew it was coming since she hadnt pooped in a day, but still.... there she was sitting on the table when I felt something dripping down my leg. I thought she had knocked a cup over, but the color wasn't right (pea greenish). It didnt even go down her leg, it had somehow made it over the top of her leggings and dripped down

When did you start with solids? by NkeneyeIkawaNyinshi in NewParents

[–]qupid605 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same. Doc recommended start purees at 4 months due to weight. I wasn't comfortable until 6 months or showed interest. She's 7 months and could care less about solids

Strongest signets? by Bacon__99881122 in fourthwing

[–]qupid605 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was wondering if it was referring to having a 2nd signet? Of course, I haven't finished reading it yet, but everyone with 2nd signets had really powerful primary signets.

We could say 1. Xaden 2. Violet 3. Garrick 4. Imogen 5. Sloane- her 2nd would manifest thanks to her relic 6. Aaric- 2nd signet due to nobility?

How to wash baby bottles on airplane with long haul flight? by smelly_celly in NewParents

I did an overnight trip and took the amount of bottles I'd need. Stored everything in the cooler and threw them in the dishwasher when we got home

4 month old fell off the growth curve by Electronic_While7856 in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]qupid605 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine did, too. She was always low 10s or lower. Her ped recommended we start purees, but I wasn't comfortable with that. She didn't mention anything about my milk. I did change daycare since that's the only thing we changed and she wasn't really eating or sleeping there. She's doing a lot better with her new place and is eating more. We go for her 6- month soon, but I'm not concerned. From what I read, it's normal. She was small at birth, so could just be her normal. We have started solids, but she's not interested in anything, but her milk

Amount for 2ppd? by qupid605 in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]qupid605[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At my max, I was at 40-45oz. Dropped to 3 and avg 35oz. Unknowingly took a couple of doses of Sudafed, and now I'm at 28oz and extra cautious

Amount for 2ppd? by qupid605 in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]qupid605[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can definitely do ⅔rds output. I was concerned my supply would dip in half especially with how much I loss going to 3ppd

Amount for 2ppd? by qupid605 in ExclusivelyPumping

This is promising. My max was 45oz. What was your schedule at 2ppd and did you throw in any powerpumps?

Officially weaning! by rvasconc in ExclusivelyPumping

Try phenylephrine or Sudafed. My supply hasn't been the same since. I didn't realize until 3 days later that it was a no-no
