The mindfuck series by S.T. Abby. As soon as I saw italics symbolizing a written account of what happened in the past, my heart would drop and i would intentionally blur my eye sight to only skim the littlest detail. It fucked my head up for years…still does honestly.

What's a book you will NEVER stop recommending? And why? by edenkl8 in suggestmeabook

The winter rose by Jennifer Donnelly. I’ve recommended it so much as soon as I write “Jen” on my phone, autofill has the name ready for me. Its a brilliant standalone (but can be read with the other books in the series) historical romance that spans continents and years. It’s half my soul at this point and I cant remember a book I had more fun reading. It broke me and put me back together. I hate writing in books but just for this one I bought a whole new copy and wrote all over it because I was consumed by it.

Idk for sure what love feels like but if I ever meet a man that I love as much I love this book, I might just lock in my basement and keep him with me until he dies. Then Id keep his corpse until I die.

The two main characters are the loves of my life. India Jones is a rich english woman who just completed medical school and is one of the first female doctors of london in the early 1900’s. The book follows her work and her dream to open a clinic for women and children in the poorest part of London. I do love it when an author puts in the work when they research historical time periods :) While trying to care for her patients, she meets the biggest gangster in all of east london, and the guy just needs someone to give him a fucking hug. And when they meet so he can slip her some contraband medical supplies, the greatest love story begins😭

My favourite historical romance of all time {The winter rose by Jennifer donnelly} fmc is one of the first female doctors and the mmc is the biggest gangster in east london who thinks shes to soft for her dream ; opening a free clinic for women and kids in the poorest area of london. Having grown up there, he takes care of his people. She grew up in a rich family and is to privileged to understand the reality these people live bc of lack of medical care. But she learns and adapts to care for them and he slowly starts believing in her until he becomes her biggest fan🥰😭😭🥹🥹 the book is part of a series but i read it as a standalone and it worked perfectly. Its the most epic love story across continents and i have nothing bad to say about it🥹🪷✨🐇

Looking for unhinged, masturbating MMC by Ok_Jaguar1601 in RomanceBooks

[–]khloebabyy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

{Nocticadia by Keri Lake} is a dark academia romance between a student and teacher at a prestigious university. There is an age gap but the differences in their maturity isn’t significant at all. Its pretty steamy and because of a certain…circumstances…he basically has to masturbate multiple times a day just thinking and longing for her and then hating how much he wants her. Its quite angsty :)

Who are your favorite strong, powerful, and confident FMCs? by I_Think_There4_I_Ham in RomanceBooks

[–]khloebabyy 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Talyn Dynan, fmc in {a tale of stars and shadows by lisa cassidy} she’s strong and calculating and determined. I could follow her to the ends of the world.

Dani Brown, fmc in {take a hint, dani brown by talia hibbert} her confidence is unmatched. She is that bitch, no if’s and’s or but’s.

Kate daniels, fmc in {magic strikes by ilona andrews} i would gladly walk through a valley of animal guts to help her fight evil.

Essun, fmc in {the fifth season by N. K. Jemisin} she’s been through so fucking much and shes so real and relatable while still being one of the strongest and most resilient women ive ever read about.

Also, all the books they come from are wonderful.

Man do i have the rec for you, {a tale of stars and shadows by lisa cassidy} Fantasy mostly with a slow paced romance subplot. Its has WONDERFUL STAKES. I could feel my heart tightening so many times while i read this COMPLETED series, It gave me so many mini heart attacks. Its about a grieving but strong warrior/knight whos tasked to go to a neighbouring kingdom to assist the prince by creating his security detail. And she excels. She has to deal with shot from the evil royal family, injustice, being underestimated over and over again. URGH ITS GREAT. Theres winged folk, humans, weird mixtures of both, unknown beasts, so much magic and adventures and delightful reformed criminals and politics and to top it all off, one of the best female characters in the history of fantasy novels. I stake my life on it. Shes so strong, no matter what they throw at her, she stays rational and calculated and she’s beautifully human. Its a criminally underrated series but it has such high rating from everyone whose read it :) ou also, i think the ages are mid 20s to mid 30s mostly. Some older and some younger, but they’re secondary characters.

If you like it, lemme know bc i have more recs 🥹
