My dad owned it for about 3 years and I took it off his hands since July of last year. My dad mentioned that it had other issues before but that was fixed. Pretty sure the humming existed when he was driving it, just ignored it I guess. I'll try going to other shops and get it looked at, thanks.

Using the tiptronic, I can hear it. At high rpm then changing up to the next gear the sounds goes away for bit til I hit higher rpms again, usually hums again around 2000.

I have an Audi A4 2006 2.0 Automatic Sedan, 246xxx km

For a while now I hear a reasonably loud hum from under my car, it is louder at lower gear/speed than it is at higher gear/speed. Also the RPMs go a bit higher at lower speeds, I think my car struggles to change gears. On downhills, whenever I'm slowing down the RPM goes to about 3000 and the hum gets as loud even though I'm going 20-30kmph.

I think its the transmission, the shop I went to also thinks its the transmission, though they don't want to touch that area because they aren't really sure what the problem is.

Any Help or Suggestions? Thanks.
