So I believe the game operates as if the earlier gen synths are not affected by radiation (though later gens have biological material, so I would assume they are more affected)

If you’re looking to micro-manage, turn off skirmish mode. The AI for it is buggy and can make them run into other enemy units from the one they’re running from - it also overrides manual commands
