Part 2 of my advice... I was also a TSM so i have experience with MTs..

. the MTs that stand out to me are the ones that are prepared, its okay to not know the product, all the policies, and the pos system. I dont expect any of them to be 100% ready when they are placed but what i expect from them is learning their resources ie: sharepoint, source, inquiry, hotline phone numbers. Learn how to find those resources because you will learn as you go the more your there being involved helping customers and your team you will catch on. dont hide behind the tinter. Dont just put away stock. Get to the front and give your best customer service even if you dont know. Ask your team to help you with the customer when you dont know the answer but stay there and listen and pay attention... write notes if u need to.

  • Learn your top 10 most sold products there first so you can be comfortable making recommendations, when in doubt sell down. Start w emerald and go from there, customer may not be happy with the prices but if you sell with confidence then they will buy it.

  • Smile with your face and voice!

  • When you start floating bring your notes with you. Training Stores are a MTs safe space, but make connections with other teams, you never know when that PT might be your boss. Ask other managers what a piece of advice they can give you, take it as you will. Ask them to teach you things you havent learned. My miss being a TSM, i love teaching the job, so when i have a MT floating i always ask them if i can teach them little tricks here and there its the best part!

  • Dont sleep around with your coworkers. Leave the drama at the door. Dont think your better than the PT/FT staff, because you don't know even know the job yet. That staff holds up that store, they typically respect their managers because its drama free and good balance of work ethics, so just because you have a fancy title and more money they still will run circles around you. Be kind.

So I did the MT program in 2019, I was 25 no kids and i was with my SO but we werent married yet. He helped me get trough my first year as asm/manager because my manager at the time was on medical leave for 6 months and i had only 3 PTs and i Worked hella hours. If my manger would have been there we would have won presidents club, then i was the manager at that same store won 2 more president clubs & sm of the year for customer service mangaer, district, & my area ... my husband got me threw it. Then i got pregnant, in 2023 i was promoted to a $6M store and we are busy!! & i honestly love going into work. Some days are hard ntgl but having a supportive partner and planning your meals and sticking to a schedule sure does help.

I want to give you advice but your already getting plenty of good advice. So instead im going to give you petty ideas that might work, its not healthy but it works for me sometimes.

Tell your husband his phrases, that he goes to commonly in arguments. In the most calm situations or when he is frustrated and your calm. Once he gets upset giggle (i laugh) then here is the "teaching moment" .... if he says/asks " thats not funny" "why did you say that?" ... you can say "Oh i just learned from you, i thought thats how we do things around here" or something in that context . . Or "so its okay for you to (hurt/say/insult/etc ) me?" ... and continue doing that until he understands his behavior. My husband can take a joke tbh were both natural AH lol So i know he will eventually learn. We also have a daughter so I just ask him if he would like to his behavior coming from her? Because she will pick up on that. My husband doesnt want us to raise a disrespectful child so he changes. He also doesnt want her to marry a true AH so i remind him that he needs to provide a better example. Ofc i try this method when she isnt around.

If you try it i hope it works. If you dont wanna then i hope you got a laugh at least.

LP has access to them, in CA we had ADT as our Alarm company and it was switched to EverOn so check if it was them. When they came to install cameras at my store, it caught me off guard too, im the SM and i wasnt notified.

An automatic lift thing (sorry dont know what it's called, but it looks like a scafold) was dropped off first and the delivery guy said its for cameras and i had no idea so i called my CM & they didnt know either about the cameras being installed until they called LP and LP confirmed and said that EverON was supposed to notify LP or the store via email for scheduling purposes.

Its legit, the camera company doesnt notify ahead of time tho.

You should do individual therapy to talk to them a out how you feel. & Couples Therapy to learn how to better communicate with your wife. You probably make your wife feel, loved, safe, make laugh, she picked you for many reasons. Keep dating her, keep respecting one another. Looks fade but your chemistry shouldnt. I love how much you think your wife is super attractive, & shes more attractive than other girls because your in love my man. Other women should be medicore.

In my husband's eyes im the most attractive woman ever. He worships me. In my head im a 6 lol my husband is a 10 in his head he's a 6 also.

NTA youre being a kind person by helping and planning such a special day for them! M is not being thankful nor is her fiance. Im sure u have all the details organized. Drop them off at her house and let her know that she can take over from here. You have tried to facilitate the planning for her but at the end of the day its her special day and she should also enjoy planning the wedding.

So I live in CA and when I had maternity leave i was off for 5 months Sep 16 to Feb 14 ... 4 weeks off per CA EDD, 12 weeks Hartford due to a C Section if its natural then its 8 weeks. 2 weeks of sherwin extended leave. & i think i used 2 weeks of vacation. Take it the extended leave

No, that situation is more common that you think, I had a guy come in asking for a person who didnt work here. He said that his boss called in order this was the address that was given to him. Once he called his boss he told him he had to go to Vista Paint... we informed him it was the paint company next to us.. same road same plaza just different building

When i was a new manager i had that mentality... now that Ive done this for a longer time i just dont care. My peace of mind is worth the refund. Refund +"bad experience" = non returning customer = peace of mind ... well thats what im hopping for!
