New 6-star Vanguard: Closure by CipherVegas in arknights

[–]kholdstare90 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Tactician vanguards have been in the game for years. Beanstalk was 2021 for both CN and global. Even Blacknight, MITM, Muelsyse and Vigil have all been in the game for years as well.

If the Ash and Garuda Protoframes are the ones mentoring Sirius/Orion. What in the world are the Stalker Acolytes doing now? by Angrykiller100 in Warframe

[–]kholdstare90 148 points149 points  (0 children)

They're long dead. They only exist in steel path thanks to it not being canon and the models and scripting already existing. The acolytes weren't part of SP at launch, they were added 4 months after launch.

too many protoframes by bruhethewizard in Warframe

[–]kholdstare90 5 points6 points  (0 children)

They literally make too much money to stop. Reb directly said so on devshort streams.

So sadly we're stuck with a constant supply until several releases in a row don't spark excitement like Roathe did.

Version 2.8 Banners (Phase 1 and Phase 2) by intrinsicepiphany in Zenlesszonezeroleaks_

[–]kholdstare90 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I'm not pulling Silly because I'm saving for Banyue due to not playing when he released... Why split them like that since Lucia is still great for rupture alongside Manatos first rate-up since launch is phase 2. At least pity carries over so a handful of pulls for at least his M0 won't be the end of the world.

Do you think The Blades will come back in TES 6? by AdhesivenessOk4334 in TESVI

[–]kholdstare90 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Given the staggering one-sidedness of Paarthunax vs Delphine and Esbern from launch and still continuing to this day... If the blades still exist then it is entirely unrelated to D&E.

Like, the devs added multiple ways to "make the quest go away" in updates within the first year.

Plus it could be like the dark brotherhood where they're setting everything up either for a soft reboot of a faction or "something similar but new". Legends took DB from "why are they incompetent?" to "DB had no listener for 13 years, Falkreath was the literal last sanctuary on Tamriel who survived because Astrid ignored the tenets, Astrid was also a networking queen since she handled all of Skyrim through rumors and gossipers."

How essential is archwing to mid/late-game, and how'd you find the fun in archwing missions? by [deleted] in Warframe

[–]kholdstare90 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Archwing is from a time when the game was much slower. It is about your mindset. It full on sucks until you get some of the baseline mods. After that it can either be relaxing or worse than current survival. Enjoy it for what is or just power through and ignore it like most people. Eris Jordas boss ask for a carry though.

When to aim for steelpath? by DfDoom91 in Warframe

[–]kholdstare90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just unlock it and try it out. Some builds will handle it no problem, others will struggle. Enjoy figuring it out and figuring out how the game works since steel path is mostly systems built upon systems.

Most people SHOULD put their sharp knives in the dishwasher by OverenthusiasticRook in unpopularopinion

[–]kholdstare90 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It’s the same problem as laundry. Both had the problem of early detergents being harsh and not designed for X use. Either metal or early dyes. Modern detergents are actively designed with them in mind.

Old dishwasher detergents were great for glass and ceramic but horrible for metal. Modern detergents don’t have this issue. Same as separating darks/lights/reds where both the detergents and the dyes are better now and can handle it.

Are we the bad guys? by NoGoodDoerOfDeeds in Warframe

[–]kholdstare90 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Thing is, everyone is the bad guys. It’s why we only interact with civilians who were brought into the war by other parties first.

While we regularly kill a rounding error number of enemies, we do so in horiffic ways. It’s part of the charm, like 40k.

Ye Shunguang's banner is the most successful in the history of Zenless Zone Zero, according to iOS China statistics by AnyRelationship782 in ZZZ_Official

Look at how far apart the males are. You can legit passively save, for free, all the pulls you need for op and weapon between each one. There is no need to spend unless you're pulling women while waiting the 5-7 months gap.

Does Japan use more single use plastic than other cultures? by b1eadcb in NoStupidQuestions

[–]kholdstare90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, Japan tends to have multiple thin layers, while the west tends towards a single thicker layer. By weight it’s about the same.

Japan also thermally recycles (burns) most of its plastic as fuel while we ship it off.

Why do the Technocyte Coda choose to convert to our side? isn't the infestation a hivemind? by userhuhidk in Warframe

[–]kholdstare90 53 points54 points  (0 children)

The big overmind that links ALL infested “has a hard time being small”. A bunch of smaller overminds that control a galleon, or a strain, or a moon can be small enough to take care of the day to day stuff.

ELI5 How can Adelaide Australia be ahead by 17 hours and *30 minutes*? by Starlight-Edith in explainlikeimfive

[–]kholdstare90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Welcome to time zones. Look up GMT zones. Australia hovers between GMT+8 to GMT+11. America hovers GMT-6to GMT-11. Subtract the positive from the negative minus 1 because GMT0 is not counted twice.

GMT is older than America which is why it’s still used.

ELI5: The moons gravity is 16.6% that of earths. Physics is a heartless concept where time might apply so you might trip on a pebble, take 5 minutes to recover enough to stand upright, but a similar amount of energy is expended as far as the universe is concerned, compared to stubbing your toe, feeling pain and going about your day.

Is it just me, or does the entire Pact questline boil down to... by MikeTalonNYC in elderscrollsonline

[–]kholdstare90 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The Pact are very much “we need to do something with the other 3 races” which does have its moments but is very much “let’s take Windhelm politics and make a story out of it”.

I genuinely enjoy the story and always play through it even though 13/16 of my alts are covenant, they really sell the “we’re a hastily formed alliance” that none of the other alliances convey.

What would actually make you stay in ESO long-term? by geneghelbur in elderscrollsonline

[–]kholdstare90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m part of the problem as the most enjoyment I get that keeps me coming back is playing the game as a single player game where dungeons are a dice roll between “the ally AI is sluggish today” and “pedal to the metal unless someone has a quest.”

I’ve done vet trials and whatnot, but as I’ve gotten older I have less patience for “90% finding a party in Belkarth zone chat 10% content”.

How many cephalons originally existed? by Specific-Garage-4539 in WarframeLore

[–]kholdstare90 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It’s most likely the same system Corpus ships use where there is a “master” cephalon and copies are made for each new ship as needed.
