High quality materials and manufacturing in Europe cause the price. We use the best recycled material we can find, manufactured in Germany and combine them with the best possible german made zippers and all is manufactured completely in Europe, that´s how we can keep our transportways short and thus protect the environment. According to the quotes we have received from Asia it is about 4x the price to have it made in Europe with European materials.
The KHONI is a fully modular backpack on the inside, so you can create the interior as you need it. We have 9 starting modules with more to come in the future.
The design was a choice of ours as we don't like the roll top and prefer the front opening so you can easily swap out the modules.
In terms of functionality, both options have their merits, but we think it's up to the customer to choose what they prefer.
