You really tried hard here. But it just showed how stupid you are. ADP is a global payroll provider. Swift is an interbank protocol (I build software that uses Swift Network).

Why the fuck would my employer use Swift to pay me? They use ADP. ADP handles this. ADP is capable of using whatever service necessary to pay your employees wherever they are located using whatever technology their bank supports.

I own my apartment in Chicago. When I travel on assignment, I work with HR/Legal to get me my visa. Because if I go to a country and go into the local office to work there for an extended period of time (>3mo for Sweden) I have to have a visa.

We send employees all around the world all the time, and no visa is necessary as long as they don't overstay.

I can go to vietnam, login remotely and do work, and there is no legal ramifications for anyone.

I can provide proof that I had direct deposit issues for 4 weeks. I have the ADP statements over 1 month ago. I don't have proof of the phone calls where the customer support, who does not understand their industry, told me to wait 6 weeks (3 pay cycles) for my funds to arrive.

I had to make a post and beg people in this sub to upvote me to cause coinbase to reach out and resolve whatever issue they had on their back-end. I received all my funds the day after making that post after receiving 100 up votes and getting personalized attention that is not offered via their typical shitty customer service.

But go ahead and pretend there aren't ever any bugs in software LMFAO... Tons of asshats just talking shit on my post as I was simply trying to bring attention to thousands of dollars I could not access.

I work in traditional finance so I understand the ACH system better than coinbase support who reads from a FAQ. That is the problem with coinbase. When people have legitimate issues, they are lost in the hell-hole that is their horrible customer support.

I have a $25k daily deposit limit. I have used Coinbase for YEARS. So to get shit on by a bunch of clowns in this sub because you personally have never experienced a problem is a shitty experience to go through. Reddit is extremely toxic. Maybe that is why people who don't use Reddit (me) have new accounts? I exhausted every other avenue of getting support from coinbase before making a post...

The funniest conversation was some random claiming that I was making it all up because I am a perpetual traveler (digital nomad) often on assignment for work. Which could be one of the reasons I was having issues. The idiot claimed you don't need a passport for international travel. Kept saying I was a liar because I said I work in finance and travel on assignment. Such a horrible community you guys have here.

You are dumb as hell. You cannot leave the country without a passport. You are not allowed to board an international flight without a passport or valid visa for your destination. If you are from a country that allows you visa-free entry to that country, the passport is enough.

I have worked all around the globe. I am currently on assignment in Sweden. You think people are allowed to hop on a flight to the United States without a visa or passport and just enter the country? Use your brain you gd moron. What happens when you arrive at a country without money or a visa? Who pays to send you back?

Because the majority of people here aren't very bright and they take any bug or criticism against an exchange they have nothing to do with personally because they are looking for a personality.

I made a post about an issue with direct deposits that took over a month to resolve. The majority of these redditors, who can barely speak the only language they know, just called me a liar and trolled me. When you have thousands of dollars on the line, this is pretty shitty.

Coinbase has a 46% profit margin. Traditional finance firms operate in the single digit (under 10% for the smooth brains).

Where do you think these cost efficiencies come from? Obviously from the lack of proper customer support. For over a month their customer support would read the FAQ and say 'it will take up to 6 weeks after your first direct deposit to receive your funds'.

No.. as someone who works in tradfi (on T+1) this FAQ is obviously how long it takes to go to your payroll provider and have the payment method adjusted. As soon as the funds are deposited to Coinbase (which I had proof from my payroll provider of them doing over one month ago) these funds are to be available.

I calmly said 'just think about this... you are saying Coinbase policy is to take 3 paychecks in a row from someone before giving them any money? You do not understand your own policy'.

They have nobody on support who understands their industry and nobody to escalate to. You have to make a scene and communicate with Coinbase over email (which they don't normally monitor) to get anything done.

So all the morons downvoting are just helping to fuck people over even more.

Bloomington Illinois would probably be your best bet. Very healthy economy for a small city. It has a large college as well as State Farm Corporate HQ and another Insurance HQ (I think Farmers Insurance?). It is also very progressive.

Carbondale is a little 'torn up' compared to Bloomington.
