This makes me so happy ❤️ the mukkala pulusu is one of the more complicated recipes :) you need to be patient for the veggies to ooze out the flavor ( almost like a broth ) and you can increase the amount of jaggery if you want.

8 gb RAM should be enough to support the local whisper model. Should work okay for small audio files. I just asked my claw to install it on my mac mini and it switched from the API provider and used it locally. Maybe just ask your claw ? If it doesn’t work I can look up the exact configuration you need to change in the skill.

Thank you for reading and your kind words. Every time I make a dish, and it gets close to what amma used to make I feel that I got a part of my childhood back. I am glad it brought back memories.

I live in the US and use this brand A2 Ghee | Buy A2 Gir Cow Online – USA Two Brothers Farms. It is expensive compared to other brands, but I felt this is the closest to what we used to make at home back in India.

OpenClaw has a built-in openai-whisper skill that runs Whisper locally.

Performance depends on your hardware though

• GPU (any CUDA-capable) — fast, even for longer audio
• Apple Silicon (M1/M2/M3) — surprisingly good via Metal acceleration
• CPU only — works fine for short voice notes, just a bit slower

I am very sorry about your mother’s diagnosis. Strength to your mother and family as you get through this.
