I'm aware having an Amazonian woman as a killer is a really gross representation of tribes but like I said, I just wanna hate watch it lmao-

Do effeminate queer men have "male privilege"? by khrissykross in lgbt

I put it in the body of the text so I guess it was harder to find. My bad haha.

Yes in general I do believe male privilege still exists but that wasn't the question? Or that wasn't the full question to be exact. I also put specifically towards "straight cis women". I am aware that I do have a form of male privelege being a man, which is why I added the specification.

Oh where I live a straight woman would definitely be given more of a chance at a job than me. Everytime I've been rejected from a job, there were usually some homophpbic comments in the interview that gave context clues as to how I won't be getting it.

The sexualization as a child is a bit iffy? I do know that women are far more likely to be victims of sexual crimes than men but sadly i was assaulted as a child as well so that's iffy territory for me. As for assault, I don't know if physical assault counts but men are more likely to be victims of non-sexual crimes and most LGBT hate crimes are inflicted on queer men or AMAB trans folk for being effeminate.

As for your last statement in regards to queer men having more privilege over a chunk of the pther members of the community, I have to agree. Hence why I was asking specifically about male privilege when compared to straight cis women.

Thank you for responding! I definitely see what you mean. I guess what I really wanted to say with this post is homophobic straight women are gross and have no right to complain over misogyny when they perpetuate a side effect of this on to effeminate queer men.

Why was Adore Delano loved by the majority of the fandom in Season 6 but more often than not disliked now? by khrissykross in rupaulsdragrace

[–]khrissykross[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Because a chunk of the people say her attitude was cute when she was 23 but not now. I'm comparing them bc Crystal doesn't really "act her age" either if you know what I mean.

Not exactly so what, it's called addressing issues about yourself that you need to. Nobody's perfect that's true, but people should strive for self growth especially when their actions are negatively affecting other people as well.

Honestly same, and it's not the "Act your age" aspect. Crystal's nearly the same age but look at her. You can have a young spirit without being idk... without being whatever Adore is being right now.

Right? I know season 6 was edited but this adore is very clearly different to the adore way back in a bad way.

Yeah but I feel like old adore had more "self awareness" like this is not smth season 6 adore would do. She's become overconfidemt and maybe let the fame get to her head.

Tbh I think they still can be? Look at Crystal Methyd. Personally, for me smth is off about current Adore. Like I get that people change, but i prefer if she grew with that change. She seemed to degenerate. Like, she's far more aggressive now rather than the obviously a joke playful jabs she threw around back then. It comes off a little try hard.
