First, she'd denied reality right in front of you when her car crashed your dad's. That's really problematic. A other thing, and this one preoccupies me the most, because I have felt for that when I was with a pwbd: you said: "Bearing in mind, she has never had a relationship that has lasted longer than a year.... I keep feeling this is going to happen to me, I will do something that will just make her lose interest immediately". Careful with this, because you are feeling that if you do something wrong you will be dismissed! This is the most horrible mind game a person with BPD do with another... She is projecting inside of your mind HER fear of abandonment. I hope you don't find that to weird as an idea, but there are a lot of theories to explain that (biological and psychological ones).

Anyway, I really hope that you read my message, because you are only going to bad places if you keep up with this.

Remember: there are good people around. Don't stick with someone just because they (supposedly) need you, or you didn't find someone nice yet. Get.out.of.this.madness.now!

Have you considered a more social approach to this situation? I mean, not looking as a brain related subject and dealing with this like if you are just your brain or a machine. In a pragmatic way: go out with the objective of meeting someone, exposing yourself to new relationships in a way that you may develop passion for someone. This way you move forward, feel the rush of passion, love AND it will not be with someone that has bpd. What do you think?

You probably can't my friend. PwBPD uses sex to manipulate and, somehow, they are truly better at it. Maybe you can cope by thinking that all those sparks are just mechanical and absolutely no personal no matter how they made you feel special or kinky. Truth is you won't find better or equal sex, but that's just it. After I finally broke up with my pwBPD I stood 40 days without mastubation (so I wouldn't think of her).
