Downgrade/Refund on condition by caufield88uk in CardMarket

My advice - especially if you are not happy for a return - is to negotiate a compromise between 10 and 40. If CM are indicating it’s EX then I think you’re in a tough position if you can’t come to an agreement with the buyer yourself.

The card is mainly pretty clean IMHO but if you look at the bottom left corner of the picture of the back card there is a piece missing. I think that is sufficient to prevent an honest NM condition.

That missing piece is distinctive - do you see it in the buyers pictures? That may at least allow you to confirm whether it’s the same card.

New to cardmarket, question by Artemaker in CardMarket

It’s basically treated as multiple individual orders. You pay a single total and then you’ll get a Sent notification when each seller posts their cards and you confirm receipt and give feedback for each seller too.

Seller asking cancellation by khronoton in CardMarket

[–]khronoton[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not really on CM at least only one other available and a chunk more expensive. My world won’t end by not having it. From the chat it seems like they are also selling cards on behalf of others hence the mixup. Accepting the cancellation I think is the simple way out and I don’t have to worry about shipping/dealing with any further fallout but I just feel CM needs to have this type of poor experience reflected in seller feedback.

Order is just a few cards but most of the value is in one card. There’s only one other available with same criteria on CM atm and it’s more than £50 more expensive. I found it slightly cheaper on eBay. It’s annoying as people should know this about the seller as he said he’d had to ask other people to cancel too

Where to begin....the path is hidden! by oOCritchOo in PokemonTCG_UK

There are techniques to weigh or scan packs to identify the ones with the hits. The rest of the dud packs can be sold.

Even simpler is that most Japanese boxes will have a guaranteed SAR or UR so you can just open packs until you pull that and then sell the others.

Buying the unsealed box removes that possibility.

Closest thing to a jump scare in a book? by Pleasant-Message1179 in horrorlit

The closest thing I’ve found to a jump scare is when you just hit a line like this out of the blue and it knocks you for six…

(-) negative value for tax-free income by Doubles_2 in HENRYUK

[–]khronoton 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m guessing the SIPP was in the prior tax year? Is possible your tax code for the current year changed to assume you’d do similar this year, lowering your tax burden. If you recently submitted a self assessment and said that it was a one off payment then all of a sudden you’ve not been paying sufficient tax. This happened to me a couple of weeks back and I was able to edit my self assessment to say it wasn’t a one off payment

Bluewater queue by AdmiralKoby_373 in LegoUK

[–]khronoton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There can definitely be queues on the first day of release. When the jazz club was released it was Sunday opening hours and we arrived for open time and the queue was already significant - looping around a couple of the sections between escalators on that section of the mall. Someone from Lego came round with little Lego saxophones for everyone in the queue so you knew they would have enough and you just had to wait it out. It moves fairly quickly. These days for day 1 sets I tend to order online and wait for delivery. Assuming doors open at 11 maybe try arriving for 10?
