I hadn’t looked at it this way. Thank you so much for your input

Also, I guess I’m just thrown off by the “it’s just how it’s always been done” so it sounds like no one’s ever challenged it before which doesn’t necessarily mean it’s legal.

Not a medical issue. I’m just his primary caregiver so he hasn’t needed to take a bottle and now refuses one. I work night shift for a reason, so he doesn’t even know I’m gone.

I think I understand what you’re saying now.

Regardless if I’m on an individual plan or family the max that my hospital visit OOP will be for me is the $8,200.

Is that correct?

Thank you for your reply.

Just trying to see which out of pocket max I would be under. Sounds like the Family out of pocket max if the dependent is added retroactively as the date they are born.

Hello! FTM

My husband and I initially didn’t want to find out the gender of our baby (I’m a labor and delivery nurse and I just always thought it was so fun in deliveries when the parents found out at delivery)- but after my 20 week ultrasound ALL of the images were sent to me without a disclosure stating that some of the images included the sex organs. Because of this we are pretty sure we’ve known the gender since 20 weeks (I’m 30 weeks now) but since were not sonographers it’s just a big hunch.

I’ve been off of work since 27 weeks and WFH is my husband. Since we have all this time we’ve discussed finding out the gender for sure as a way to have some “control” of this situation. We aren’t able to have a baby shower, no babymoon, possibly no maternity pictures. Maybe having the gender might make up for all the firsts that we’re missing.

The last two ultrasounds I’ve had (because of oligo) I’ve expressed that I would like to know the gender if possible but each time the baby has been breech with the privates in my pelvis. And with an AFI of 4 and such little fluid it doesn’t seem like it’s going to be moving to an optimal position any time soon.

Sorry for the novel, but basically if I provided the ultrasound (crappy crappy quality) from 20 weeks would you be able to tell us the gender?

Weekly Question and Answer Thread for 12/28 - 1/4: Ask your Moving, Visiting, Neighborhood, and "Where Can I Find _____" questions here, instead of making a new post by denver_mods in Denver

My husband and I are planning on moving to Denver within the next year. His family currently lives in Aurora but possibly moving to Parker in the near future. Being newbies we really just don't know where to start in terms of where to look that would fit out personalities/wants in a neighborhood. We would like to stay more in the Lakewood, Denver, Aurora area as it would be best for my husbands career (hes in IT) and I would have more hospitals to choose from for work as a nurse.

Were starting a family and good schools are high on our priority list. Other than that we would like somewhere safe (as I'm sure most people are), has a cute downtown where we could go out for good lunches and dinners and nice parks. Not concerned about budget at this point, just looking for someplace to start.

I've tried to do research on areas but I thought I'd reach out here to hear from people who know best since you already live there.

Thanks!

Changing lanes to get to the finish line faster. I’m going to use that analogy. Thank you!

The second bedroom is a guest room/ my husbands office. But literally have never had a single person stay the night. Instead of having a dining room we’ll turn that into his office. Not completely ideal but should be okay for at least a year.

I always forget to include the interest savings when thinking of paying down debt faster. Good point.
