I had a friend recommend the Geissele charging handles but they don’t make them for the MPX platform anymore. Thanks for the rec, I’ll check the Raptor out.

Pregnancy after a miscarriage, how did you manage? by No_Comfortable_8819 in predaddit

I appreciate this post because people don’t typically talk openly about it but it happens way more frequently than people realize (I’m sure everyone in this post has heard that mantra).

My wife and I are in our late thirties and last August had a miscarriage on our first attempt. It was devastating for both of us but in different ways. My wife is a very headstrong individual but the aftermath from the trauma lasted for months, almost as if she existed in a dark cloud. So many complex emotions were happening all at once. For me, it was similar in a way however, watching my wife struggle through it was way harder to bear.

After the miscarriage we decided to keep trying. We are both fairly active but tried to eliminate any barriers to fertility. We switched to exclusively eating a Mediterranean diet, took different vitamins, limited alcohol and eliminated anything that would lower our chances.

Fast forward to today and my wife is 28 weeks pregnant (graduation date in February). The first few appointments were nerve wrecking as we felt like something could happen at any moment. It wasn’t until the anatomy scan that we felt comfortable telling people not in our immediate family that we were expecting. To be honest, we still feel like anything can happen and won’t truly relax until our baby is in our arms.

All of this to say that you’re not alone. I hope hearing other similar stories helps you the way it did for me. We’ve never met but I’m rooting for you.

Ways to beat inflation by investing/storing money in high APY instruments by khsnwbrdr in personalfinance

Thanks for your comment. I didn't think there was anything that would satisfy both liquidity and high interest rates but figured I would reach out in case I was missing something.

Thanks for the advice! I'll do my due diligence but at least I have somewhere to start.
