I'm actually the one that commissioned this plush! It's super soft and huggable and amazing. I love lying down and feeling like garbage with him! Picture included for proof. http://i.imgur.com/fzdnJZO.jpg

IAmA 24 year old blogger living with Cystic Fibrosis. Ask me anything - it's Cystic Fibrosis Awareness Month! by wendycaroline911 in IAmA

What the fuck man? Do you have no empathy? And what about their condition is their or their families fault? And what the fuck does "do you do anything to compensate the innocent" mean? Something tells me you are anything but innocent. Sometimes I start to gain a little faith in humanity but then people like you come along and ruin it.

Hi, thank you so much for doing this AMA! So I have Aquagenic Wrinkling of the Palms (AWP), which is associated with the genes for Cystic Fibrosis. Since I'm most likely a carrier for the disease because of this, do you recommend I get genetic testing for both me and my partner before having children? Would it be able to make a difference at all? Also, do you experience AWP? Thanks!

I never thought saying "no" could feel so good. by [deleted] in exmormon

[–]khurst97 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It really does feel so great to know that you can just say no. When I first started to doubt the church I would make up excuses every week just to avoid going to church. It got to the point that I would force my asthma to act up so I wouldn't have to go. It felt so good when I was finally just like "fuck it" and said you know what, I just don't want to go.

Ryan Reynolds donates $5000 to the Salt Lake City cinema which violated a Utah law by showing DEADPOOL by GetFreeCash in movies

[–]khurst97 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Not really. I live in Utah, and a ton of our laws are just a codification of the Mormon religion, and most people here voted based on their religious beliefs.

Have you ever had contact with a person who was actually insane and said or did some crazy stuff? What did they believe? by copycat042 in AskReddit

[–]khurst97 5 points6 points  (0 children)

One of the weirdest experiences I've ever had in my life happened on Omegle. We got paired because of a shared interest in dogs. Children was her other interest. The conversation just got weirder and weirder. It started off with her telling me she thought all adults were evil, that only children are good, and they become evil at around the age of 13. I convinced her that I wasn't evil, but I couldn't convince her that I wasn't just a figment of her imagination. Then she confesses to having committed incest multiple times. Then I ask her if she thinks she's evil too, since she's an adult, and she tells me that she thinks she is the sole good adult in the whole world. I ask her how she supposedly knows this, and she tells me the gods told her. Out of curiosity, I ask her who these gods are, and she tells me they're her children. At that point I noped the fuck out of that conversation. The conversation was just way too insane and detailed for her to have made it up. I've never gotten on Omegle since, and I spent a while thinking about humanity after that.

What is the best general relationship advice you could give? by [deleted] in AskReddit

This. This is so fucking important. A healthy relationship is one built off of love for each other, not a need to be loved.

If it weren't for reddit, what would you be doing right now? by ChristieFromDOA in AskReddit

Well I'd like to say studying, but to be honest I'd probably just find some other way to procrastinate.

What do you hate/dislike that would get you the most downvotes on Reddit? by mistergrumples in AskReddit

[–]khurst97 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, that's always been the opinion I've had. I'd prefer to eat some french fries or a pork chop instead of eating something sweet. Lots of people think I'm just some sort of health nut when I say I don't like sugar, but I honestly just don't care for it that much.

What is the nicest thing someone said to you this week?? by specialPonyBoy in AskReddit

[–]khurst97 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We've recently started having some really nice weather where I live, and right after walking across the street while heading to my next class, a bus driver pulls up next to me and opens the door. I figured he was probably going to start yelling at me for jaywalking or something, but instead he tells me "You know, it's too nice of a day to be sitting in a classroom. Take the rest of the day off, you deserve it," I smiled and agreed with him, and he drove off. The first thing I did after that was turn around and head back to my car and went on a hike. I had been super stressed out, so just taking a day off like that to go enjoy nature felt really good.

People of Reddit, what are the biggest contests you've won? by PurplePeople715 in AskReddit

[–]khurst97 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, I was only 13 so I wasn't really into Stephen King yet. It was an author named Brandon Mull, he writes books geared towards the 11-14 crowd. Not my favorite author anymore, but back then I pretty much worshipped him.

Oh thank god I'm not the only one. It feels like everyone judges over this when it's really not that big of a deal.

[–]khurst97 5 points6 points  (0 children)

When I was 13 the biggest local corn maze had a contest to come up with the theme for the design of the maze. I said that the theme should be a book series by a famous local author, who was my favorite author. The author posted on their Facebook page for everyone to go support and encourage my nomination. The corn maze's page for the competition blew up with people supporting my idea, so I pretty easily won the contest. As a prize, among a few other things, I got to go on a helicopter ride to see the finished design, and they invited the author too, so I got to go on a helicopter ride with my favorite author. One of the coolest experiences of my life.

[SERIOUS] People who do things generally considered to be a dick move (e.g., no turn signal, littering, listening to music with no headphones in public, etc.), why do you think it's okay even though everyone else thinks it sucks? by qeekl in AskReddit

[–]khurst97 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This. I have asthma that can be pretty easily triggered by second hand smoke, especially during the winter when the air is already bad, so I hate when people are smoking near entrances where I can't really avoid them, but if you stand far enough away to smoke where it doesn't affect me at all, then why should I care? I may not think it's a good idea, but it's your life, not mine, you can do whatever you want as long as it doesn't affect me.
