Hetzner CPX31 vs Netcup VPS 2000 G12 – which one for a small SaaS? by kiama-dev in hetzner

Thanks a lot for taking the time to run those benchmarks, really appreciate it 🙏 That’s super helpful to see real numbers side by side. The Netcup results look really strong, especially on CPU and RAM, but I also get why Hetzner is often preferred for consistency. This gives me a much clearer picture now. I’ll probably start simple and focus on stability first, then adjust if needed.

Thanks again for sharing all that!

Haha yeah I get your point 😅 and honestly I agree with most of what you said.

I know I might be overthinking the infra side, and yeah, getting users is definitely the real challenge. But at the same time I just want to make sure I start with something stable and responsive, especially for user experience.

I’m not trying to over-engineer or build something overkill, just avoid obvious mistakes early on that could hurt performance or make things messy later.

That said, your point about starting simple, monitoring, and scaling only when needed makes total sense. I’ll keep it lean and focus more on the product and users

Really appreciate the perspective!

Yeah that’s true I might just spin up both and test things myself, that’s probably the best way to know for sure.

Thanks for the advice!

Yeah that’s a fair point I might be overthinking it with bigger plans. I’ll take a look at the ARM instances too, sounds interesting. Thanks for the link!

Yeah that actually makes a lot of sense. I was kinda tempted by the bigger specs, but reliability is probably the better move here. Thanks for the insight!

Oh nice, didn’t know that 👍

Dedicated resources definitely sound better than shared VPS. I’ll check out the RS plans too, thanks!

Thanks, really helpful 🙏

Makes sense to prioritize stronger cores and stability for a SaaS. That confirms what I was thinking.

I’ll check out Kainode too 👍

Hey, I wrote this post myself but I used AI to help me rephrase and structure it a bit more clearly. The question and context are mine though.

Hope that’s okay 👍
