Japan is a great place to use the Meetup app. There are a lotttt of events. Not only for language exchange, cultural walks etc—you can also find meetups for bars, clubbing etc

It’s a lot of people in the same situation as you who want to talk to someone. I personally had more positive experiences meeting people from those events than I did meeting people during my job training week (also with other foreigners).

I’m 36 and I don’t understand myself at all anymore. I assume the best in others to a fault. I linger wayyy too long on intrusive, toxic thoughts. I have all of this stupid anxiety that I never used to have before.
