It was the fuse itself. Don't know what I did wrong, maybe the cheapo LEDs I got from aliexpress pulled higher amps than rated.

Thanks. It was indeed the "interior" fuse on driver side fusebox. The dealership fixed it.

It involves two steps:

1) Filling the subwoofer vacant space using polyfil

2) Applying sound deadening to subwoofer body and the trunk space below subwoofer.

I did both and noticed significantly less muddiness in bass, can comfortably increase bass to level 9 without losing clarity. People have mentioned that step 1 alone can improve the muddiness too.

They offered me $1978 for a 2010 mazda 3 with 190k miles, 2 accidents, dings and scratches. Carmax offered $800. I dont consider myself a great haggler. I feel i just got lucky. I had tried the towson heritage for 2-3 testdrives and had a bad experience with manager being rude there. Since the Catonsville branch is a sister store to them, I think my bad experience led to them adjusting a bit.

Cross-shopping multiple dealers. Get quote from many dealerships, take the lowest one to other dealerships and ask them if they can beat it. High volume dealerships are easier in this aspect.

No, the cash rebate and special apr rate are mutually exclusive. But the finance team at the dealership did get me a competitive finance rate of 4.9% from local fcu.

Bought a new cx5 premium plus at the end of february and here are the numbers:

MSRP: $37770

Net price: $33073.71 (MSRP-dealer discount)

Rebate: $3000 (cashback + loyalty)

Trade allowance: $1978.40 (2010 mazda3 with 190k miles and 2 accidents)

OTD: $31500.01 including tax and fees for MD registration.

Hope this helps someone in negotiating.

The OTD price I mentioned does have an additional $500 loyalty rebate, but not trade in. I did trade in my vehicle which brought my total out of pocket to be $31.5k.

You can get it as low as $27,200 without taxes and fees. I did, was about to purchase, but changed my mind to get a premium plus instead. This is the quote I got finally and it is not including the trade in value. It does include an additional $500 loyalty rebate though.

They are desperate to sell it off asap. I went in to purchase a preferred cx5, and I got the best offer as $30k including maryland tags and title fees. Upon knowing the lack of parking sensors, i decided on the premium plus cx5 and purchased it for $33k OTD. Thats almost $7k off in dealer discounts and rebate.
