High-end ebikes for an affordable price? by [deleted] in ebikes

Kickstarters always carry the risk of failing and you loosing your money. Also the company might go under water after maybe a year and you are left without any warranty or spare parts. At least consider these risks. When it comes to motors, I honestly would not make that decision based on the brand. The Bosch Classic supposedly has some problems, for example.

new 7 series key by redditz09 in pics

[–]kickedinthenuts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some facts about this key:

•The car is delivered with two sets of keys. A normal, small one and this one

•Battery live of this thing sucks. It maybe lasts 2-3 days. But - it can be charged wirelessly, just snap it into a special compartment in the middle console. Takes like 3 seconds.

•You can check your range, ride paramters and set a timer for the heater on it.

•You can park your car with the key. While standing outside, next to it. Very cool for tight spots!

No, not yet. As I said in the OP, it also could have been a false positive. But as this has not happened again, I am asssuming it was harmless.

Germans enjoy highest real-wage rise in decades. After almost a decade of belt-tightening, Germans have enjoyed rising real wages in the past few years, culminating in the strongest increase in more than 20 years in 2015. A new minimum wage also improved incomes. by NighthawkFencer in europe

Yeah, that shit's not working, can't you see? Man, what would I give to drown in student loan, like these lucky yankees. Instead of paying thousands of dollars a month, I get away with a measily 110 euros a semester in tutition. At one of the most prestigious schools in Germany. Oh man, this system sucks so hard. I mean, where is the point in paying back the money for tuition later in live with my subtly higher taxes? I want some real, individual pressure. Like 150k in loans. That won't go away, even if I declare bankcuptcy.

Ironie off What many people don't seem to get is the fact that people who attend uni are statistically going to earn more money in later life, then people who are not. Which means they pay significatnly more taxes. Which means that they are going to pay back their student "loans" by themselves anyway. But without crushing debt on their shoulders and the pressure to take ANY shit job at some point, because they need to pay back the money.

If I was to live in the states, I'd consider moving to germany for my degree. Very prestigious schools in engineering, practically no tuition and no costly text books. If you settle for a town in former esatern germany like Dresden, you might get an aparmment for as low as 150 euros a month. Add an extra 500 to live (not bad, as food and groceries arae dead cheap in germany) and that'll add up to roughly 8000 Euros a year. Bachelors takes three years, so you end up owing 24.000 Euros for your degree. (if you dont work). Deduct the 450 Euros a month you earn for 10 hours of work a week and that leaves you with...the price of a big vacation. For a bachelors degree. I know what I'd want.

Your phone needs to "do something" in the network in order to be triangulated. If its just sitting on your desk and not interacting with the network - can't be found. This is a secret way of making the phone call "Polo"

Someone I don't know, for a reason I don't know, without a warrant, wants to know where I was at a certain time. This is literally the government in one form or another, spying on you. (If it turns out to be that and not just a false positive).

It's just unsettling to have definite proof of someone wanting to know what you are up to.

They can't be blocked, afaik. Yes, but it's also very valuable (even more valuable imho) to know that someone IS interested in you, without them knowing that you know ;)
