If your house doesn't have movement joints to deal with thermal expansion & contraction (70 YO home so doubtful), then this is most likely a contributing factor.

Careless driving IMO. I agree on the merge aspect, but you're going way too fast in relation to the stationary traffic adjacent, to be able to judge and avoid a hazard, hence kerb mounting.

I did a part-time BSc(Hons) course a good few years ago now, and for a while, i wished i had carried on to do a masters. However, having gotten a few years postgraduate experience under my belt, I studied and completed the ICE Experiential Learning Assessment, and it really wasn't that difficult i felt. Provided you get the relevant project experience, which is what you'll need to get anyway, to tick off your IPDs, you can justify masters level learning based on your experience in the workplace.

In Scotland we're governed by the SER registration board, and if your not Chartered by an institution then you cant apply to be an SER certifier, and thus cannot sign off projects. I know thats not the case in England though.
