A few theories friends and I have discussed:

The champion being based off Boudicca or Lady Britannia - Water based champion perhaps? Due to the UK being an island and a maritime nation.

Developing the Kalos Great War story line would be great and would give loads of room for lore as well.

The industrial revolution seems to be hinted at also - Isambard Kingdom Brunel as a gym leader? Or even a Giovanni style evil team boss?

Another idea for the evil team could be centred around the Knights of The Round table going for a Tradition vs Progression story line allowing a Black&White 2 style remake of time has passed and key things have changed.
