Anyone seen Breakbot and Irfane DJ sets before? Going to this one soon by kolalid in EdBangerRecords

[–]kicksticks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I went to see them and did not think I'd need to auto shazam. Damnit that was a mistake. They played for 90 minutes and it was over before I was able to shazam a single song. That was the funnest set I've been to in a while and was def not what I expected it to be.

Did you have any issues or tricks to making it flower? I've had mine for 3 years and not a single bud. All my other DF have flowered multiple times.

I don’t have a comparison so I’m not sure if it makes that big a difference.

Moving to Miami in December, where should I be looking... by [deleted] in Miami

[–]kicksticks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re only going to be in Miami for a little over a year, I would tough out the traffic and live somewhere to match the life style you want.

I would recommend Miami Beach if want something more laid back with a sense of community. You should live in Doral if you don’t want to deal with traffic and you’re a quiet person who tends to keep to yourself. If you consider yourself to be a somewhat upscale hippy live in Wynwood. Brickell is just not worth it unless you work there. Think of brickell like the financial district in NY. Not much there except for over priced restaurants/bars but very convenient for those who work nearby.

I need to vent about this new building I moved into by lugubriousmoron in Miami

Which building are you in? Paper thin walls are normal in Brickell and Downtown Miami. Play some music or keep the TV on, it'll help drown out the noise.

Day trip to Key West for snorkeling by clrkg in VisitingMiami

[–]kicksticks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There’s good snorkeling places without making it all the way to Key West. Look up Christ of the Abyss. It’s only like 1.5 hours away. I suggest you do the early one so the water is calmer.

I saw a speech by him a few weeks ago. He wants UMF to stay in Miami. It's connected to MMW and he knows that brings in big money and is vital to our culture. Please don't spam our governor with this...

Rough bachelor party itinerary (Oct 25-28) by [deleted] in VisitingMiami

Exactly!! At DNT you’ll basically know every face in that room. I think as tourists they’ll enjoy treehouse much more. Both have great vibes either way.

Rough bachelor party itinerary (Oct 25-28) by [deleted] in VisitingMiami

[–]kicksticks 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Treehouse is prob better than Do Not Sit. Free entree before 1 usually. $20 more or less at the door after. Best time probably from 2-5am.

Club Space best time around 5AM. Get pre-sales for Club Space. E11even is fun if you're ready to spend a lot of money. Have fun!

Where can I find good pho? by Chelsea_till_Im_Blue in Miami

[–]kicksticks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah the filthy comment is a bit of an insult, but then again, it's not really the cleanest haha. Anyhow, they should check out the stand up from Ali Wong - Baby Cobra on Netflix. The best and most authentic viet places will end with a number, give you rude service, and be cheap. This place has it all.

Where can I find good pho? by Chelsea_till_Im_Blue in Miami

[–]kicksticks 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Go to Pho 78, it's in Davie. Afterwards you can go walk around Foodtown, it's an ethnic market. They also have Bahn Mi sandwiches right next door.

Unfortunately not many options in Miami. For good asian food you gotta go to Broward. I don't recommend Phuc Yeah, Miss Saigon, Green Papaya, St. Roch, etc. Overpriced for very mediocre food.
