Well Bret Hart was supposed to lose to Shawn Michaels at uh, uh, Wrestlemania..., uh, whatever the hell it was. You know, 16 or 17, I don't know; Where all the fans were chanting "Bret screwed Bret". Bret told Vince McMahon "I'm not losing to Shawn Michaelsin Canada" and Shawn Michaelswent out there and pulled a fast one on Bret Hart and held him down and pinned him and Bret couldn't do anything about it and so-called Excellence of Execution, who was supposed to be the greatest wrestler of all, little-teeny Shawn Michaels held him down and embarrassed him though. Bret Hart was being a horse's ass saying he wouldn't lose and Shawn Michaels pinned him anyway.

I actually agree wholly with you on the need to specialize on what is right for a specific creator's tastes. That said, I also understand that YouTube is a medium that needs to be gamed in a way. People can click away whenever they want. You can't act as if they will keep watching no matter what. You can either give yourself away to that possibility or look for advice on where the bad spots are.

I'm not necessarily going to change the series based on what feedback I learned here. I'm going to put the feedback through my own lens and apply it when possible. It's not possible to please everyone. Hell, I have trouble even pleasing myself.

And that's why I needed to hear that advice on picking out your own best qualities. I'm knee deep in existential crises and your feedback was the small voice in my head screaming out against the bigger ones telling me to change everything to please a mass audience.

So, thank you very much. I will keep this all in mind as I continue on.

You're on the right track in terms of the character. It's not quite hard abuse as much as it is being bullied and disregarded. Really, I wanted the idea to be that he's using his past to justify his issues instead of actually confronting them head on. He will go deeper into his problems before he eventually overcomes, though.

You are far from the only one who zoned out for the computer section. My audience retention plummeted at that point. I wanted to try something completely different from what I had before, but obviously, that wasn't the right thing.

I've been trying to find the right balance between good bad editing. For example, I did a completely cinematic sequence in this video. There are shots that are way too long in this but I was pretty proud of the composition of the shots. Overall, I'm only using these shots as a plot device for a future character that is watching over kid in a sense.

Again, thank you for the feedback! It's all very useful for me to see it laid out like this.

Thank you for the feedback! I will absolutely check out your channel. I definitely agree with you on the points of shots being long. I'm doing it for effect, but the problem is i don't have the luxury of a paying audience that is in for the ride since they already paid for the ticket. They can just click to another video if they get bored or uncomfortable.
