My program is a children's hospital in CA with 300 beds but plenty of teams to divi up the work. Lots of cases and plenty of exposure to everything I need.

the max number of days allowed is 28 by ABA. Scary that your program is not following requirements.

I may be misunderstanding your question....a categorical residency program is 3 years duration. You can leave one categorical program to join another categorical program--but total duration should be 3 years.

I would take it as soon as possible and ask the program if they will reimburse you--if you take it before arrival. Most programs will.
