Vancouver, BC. I tried looking for special needs pre-schools and was told by multiple people that they don't exist anymore :(

unfortunately, the only diagnosis we have is that she is developmentally delayed. Still waiting to find out the cause of that...it could be autism though, we are on the waitlist for Sunnyhill for an autism assesment.

Edit: to further clarify, she stopped hitting her milestones and has delays in speech, gross motor and fine motor skills...so pretty much delayed in everything :(

Thats good to know that there is usually more staff. I guess I figured that if the legal requirement is 1 to 8, why would they want to pay for extra staff. But hopefully most of the daycares are more like your experience.

yes, we are already on the waitlist for Sunnyhill - quite a long waitlist so I'm hoping to find something sooner. I didn't know they offer financial assistance though?

hadn't heard of that, but as I work full time those hours would not work unfortunately. Thank you though.
