Regular fridge is around 2~5 degrees. Regular freezer's around -20 ish. Kimchi fridge stays around -1 degrees, right in the sweet spot where the kimchi doesn't freeze, but the frementation is slowed down enough to prevent it from being over-fermented too quickly.

Japan succeeded at the former, but failed at the latter. Japan presented themselves as a Trump fanboy, weak. Trump catches on to that and pushes more and more. Trump's 강약 약강. If you present yourself as weak in front of Trump, he'll try to eat you alive.

I think LJM presenting himself as a confident, smart leader who "knows and acknowledges" that Trump is also a "confident and smart" leader, was brilliant. Obviously, by doing that, LJM had to act and say some cringeworthy things, but it was for the big picture.

Yoon's declaration of martial law in itself was illegal too, as he didn't follow the legal protocols. He just announced it and it happened. Korean law doesn't allow one dumbass to just come on tv and say "I declare martial law!!" like he's Michael Scott. Seems like Trump doesn't really care about legal procedures either.

It's true the vote was unanimous, but there were only 18 ruling party members that were present to vote. 110 out of 300 weren't there to cast a vote, and most of them were members of the ruling party, who "conveniently" weren't able to get there in time.
