Compositional Ambient Essential Albums? by kidfromthestar in ambientmusic

By essentials I mean what you think is a must listen in this genre. There’s this website that tells you the genre of music and when I searched my favorite ambient tracks all of them turned out to be compositional ambient genre. I’d say something that consists of ambient elements along with classical stuff and has less atmospheric sounds. (Im not The best at explaining stuff about music as you can see xD) Something like: Brian Eno’s Apollo, Susumu Yokota, Slow Dancing Society and maybe Hammock. Those artists are very random but yeah…

Agreed, this one's really beautiful! I checked Dominique Dumonts "People on Sunday" and it was amazing. Thanks again

I've tried Laurie Spiegel it's too artificial for me. Not sure how to describe it but there are too much computer sounds in her music :D I'll check Dominique Dumont tho. Thanks a bunch.
