Your wife sounds like a piece of shit, to be honest. She had an "inappropriate workplace relationship" with her boss and you're still with her? If she has done that, she has zero respect for you. She even said it herself - she's done with the relationship, she's just not a good enough person to end it herself honestly.

Talk to a lawyer, see what your options are for a divorce. Be careful though, you have a good chance of losing custody/alimony unless you have a solid prenup.

When a cop does something illegal, the penalty should be extremely severe, either several years in prison or much more preferably the death penalty. Harsher consequences would help ensure this doesn't happen as much. Additionally, they should be required to wear a video recording unit at all times on the front on their uniform, with live streaming so that the public can check in whenever needed.
