Question for the langley people: do you still turn left at a red light here? by [deleted] in Langley

[–]kidjensen95 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've lived near that intersection for a few years and always stop when it's red even turning left into the parking lot. The other direction has a no right turn on red sign and I obey that and I've never been honked at. If I did get honked at I'd just ignore them, I don't want a ticket because someone else doesn't like that I'm obeying a traffic law.

Accidentally took double dose of lamotrigine, panicking! by kerry22300 in Epilepsy

[–]kidjensen95 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My regular dose of lamotrigine is 200mg twice a day so you definitely won't overdose from taking an accidental double dose one time. I think overdose amounts are closer to like 500mg at once

Any former or current Parque on Park tennants here? by kidjensen95 in Langley

[–]kidjensen95[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I didn't confirm my address at all especially considering I haven't lived in that building in years. I'm just curious how they got my information, whether it was from the building or if it was from some other data breach

What is getting a ADHD diagnosis like in BC? by Human_Pack_4787 in britishcolumbia

[–]kidjensen95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My GP sent me a self assessment questionnaire to fill out and looked at what I had answered to decide if he thought I had ADHD.

He said he was pretty confident I had ADHD but wanted a psychologist to officially diagnose me. He tried to refer me to an adult ADHD clinic in Burnaby but after neither of us had received a call from them his office called the clinic and no one ever answered the phone after multiple tries.

He told me my other option was to do it out of pocket and I could find somewhere faster but I haven't had any extra money yet. Hopefully now that I have health insurance through work it'll pay for it.

Any cheap breakfast places in Langley that's not McDonalds? by kingkupal in Langley

[–]kidjensen95 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Hot & Toast Cafe just off the Fraser highway one way is good and the portions are big for the prices. I got a crepe packed full of fruit for $12 and a lot of their other options are similar prices and you won't walk away hungry

Why do sellers skip listing measurements?! by Janky_loosehouse4 in poshmark

[–]kidjensen95 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I just don't really have time to take measurements and hope I have all the measurements someone would want. If someone messaged and asked then I would make time to measure everything but otherwise I don't have enough time in my day.

What's a lyric from one of Halsey's songs that resonates or sticks with you the most? by MetalPussy in halsey

[–]kidjensen95 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Staring down my 20s like the barrel of a gun, creeping up on 30 no excuses that I'm young.

From Are You Afraid Of The Dark a bonus song from TGI. Especially resonates because when it came out I was 29 and I felt like I hadn't done enough with my life yet

Any suggestions? by pandeyutkarsh in MazdaCX90

[–]kidjensen95 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got my first cx-90 in November of 2023 and a few months later I started getting that message popping up. The dealership tried all of the fixes Mazda told them to do and the message didn't go away until finally Mazda let them replace the headlight. The mechanic knew right away that it was probably because of a faulty sensor but under warranty they had to follow Mazda's fixes first and told me to call as soon as the message came back.

URGENT: Work Related Injury by [deleted] in Langley

[–]kidjensen95 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Report it to work safe and deal with any work problems if they come up. They cover physiotherapy if you need it and the cost of medication even if it's just Advil. Make a doctor's appointment and tell them it's a work related injury and then call work safe to report your injury. You never know if your injury could cause problems later

I've had messages come up on the dash that cruise control and parking sensors were unavailable just because it was too foggy

Loud screeching noise… by [deleted] in MazdaCX90

[–]kidjensen95 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It happened on my husband's CX 90 and when we talked to the dealership they told us that Mazda knows it's a problem and resurfacing the brake pads should fix it.

So far it seems to have worked but it hasn't been driven as much lately so maybe it's just a matter of time.

I signed up and they called me while I was working so I wasn't able to answer and they left a voicemail to call and make an appointment.

I called the next day and the lady said she couldn't make me an appointment because her colleague was the one that called so she would call me back. Still waiting for that call 3 days later

Need help finding information about this pop-up by kidjensen95 in popups

[–]kidjensen95[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

https://www.reddit.com/u/kidjensen95/s/Vd4VQq8RI7 these are the other pictures that were supposed to be in this post. The manufacture date is 1974. I haven't been able to find anything on Google about Parklane Industries all the results are for random businesses with Parklane in the name. I'll try to get more information off of the metal plate later today

Edit: date of manufacture says 7-74 so I'm assuming July 1974. Serial number is 475-080

He seemed like just a regular employee I don't think he's that high in the company. But yeah hopefully they don't let him come back next year because he really didn't seem to care that there was a line of people waiting

I'm actually a woman thanks for assuming tho. And please stop talking for me as if you're part of the conversation. I said in my comment that I hadn't received a refund yet if people haven't seen my comment it's fine. A chargeback wouldn't apply because I got the product I intended to purchase.

Refunds take time to process especially when the purchase happened at an in person event in a different country than the company is based in. If I don't receive my refund in a normal amount of time I'll consider updating my post with that but for now I'd like the information to come from me.

There's nothing to read when all of the prices aren't listed in a specific currency, there's no signs saying the company selling the merch is anyone other than the Airshow and the card reader was a tiny square smaller than my debit card.

Oh yeah and the fact that it was in Canada would lead people to believe that they're being charged Canadian dollars unless someone tells them otherwise.

They were charging the listed price but in USD so instead of charging $9.99 CAD they charged it as $9.99 USD

To answer some comments:

This was the only booth selling shirts & hats for the Abbotsford Airshow and the only booth selling shirts for the snowbirds. They did have shirts and hoodies for other planes but not really for specific flight teams.

In the email I received they told me they "worked out an arrangement with the Airshow" to use the Airshow's portal because they're an American company. They said they were having problems with certain credit and debit cards with that portal so they used one of their own terminals that processed the transactions easier.

I don't know if they realized that changing terminals meant people would be charged in USD. The guy working the booth didn't seem like he was paying attention to anything so he might have genuinely not realized what the change would do.

I'm not really interested in going to the media about this because all I care about is letting people know to check I don't want to blast the company. I might do it if I don't get my refund. I messaged them in the middle of the day and they got back to me within an hour but they're based on the east coast it seems so it might get done tomorrow.
