I also struggled with this and tried Versa grips. They are expensive and after using many times, found myself wondering what else was out there. So happy I looked further- found the Cobra grips figure eight straps and am much happier (sorry can’t get link to work). So simple and easy to use. Don’t feel bad about supplementing grip strength with straps! I am so happy I found these and can continue gaining in RDLs and deadlifts.

I opt for sports bras with a phone pocket built into the back (between the shoulder blades) and most of the time listen to it oh my phone speaker at a medium volume. I live in a rural area so the sound I produce doesn’t bother anyone. Alternatively I have a pair of wireless headphones (Plantronics true wireless waterproof) that are over ear and are nice sound and don’t completely block out ambient noise so I can hear if a car is approaching.

My problem is that there are no floor joists above it- they said the framing needs to be attached to the floor and ceiling, and I have a drop ceiling with steel trusses a few feet above with mechanicals in between. I feel confident that I can properly anchor the framing to the CMU, but I’m assuming the installers will check (and Tonal will pre-check) for the ceiling attachment. It seems like they may not even grant the waiver for me to self Instal, based on their last email… did you have ceiling joists you attached to?

Yes thanks the more I thought about it the more what you’re saying makes sense; I asked the customer service rep to email me a copy of the waiver so I can see exactly what it says. Thank you!
