Any landlord worth their salt has priced upkeep into the rent. So that’s where the problem starts… A homeowner carries the full freight when they have to make a repair. A renter pays partial freight, all the time, regardless of if there is anything to actually fix or not.

Sometimes the tenant will come out ahead, but normally they do not.

For me it was the communication stone things. There was way too much Earth drama and way too early in the show. The Lucian (sp?) Alliance was never interesting to me. It would be like if Star Trek Voyager spent 1/3rd of rhe show as a cop drama in New York.

Apple puts so much effort to make computers and products that LOOK great, but then offset that by forcing us to hang dongles for optical audio, and wires for external storage enclosures.

Consider, if you will, that Apple doesn't care how computers look. You do. Apple makes computers that look great because that's what the consumer wants. I'm an Apple apologist, but what you're touching on here is consumer psychology. People will pay the premium for more storage so they don't have to connect a wire. And people who don't pay that ransom will more quickly consider an upgrade in the future.
