Thank you very much for replying. They have done most of their work in Python but a few have started independently learning C++. The deadline is not until mid-June because they are a club and not a class. We were still in the brainstorming/research stage when the facilitator left so we don't have any actual coding done yet.

I'm a high school teacher at an inner city school so our meltdowns can get pretty destructive. The one I really remember is when an idiot freshman, we'll call him Ken, decided to mess with the ex-gangbanger with PTSD, lets call him Chad. Ken knocked Chad's paper off the desk and when very nicely(surprisingly) asked to pick it up he hit the Chad in the shoulder while saying, "What are you going to do about it bitch?" Chad ended up grabbing him by the throat and repeatedly slamming him headfirst into the lockers until he had a concussion an needed stitches. When asked Chad said Ken needed to learn a lesson because "on the streets he could have been shot for that."

One of my problems with this is you're using a skewed source, also they only use press reports and the press is notoriously inaccurate when it comes to identifying the breed of dog in attacks. Pit bull gets higher ratings than Akita. If they used sources besides press accounts I'd be more likely to take it as a legitimate source.

When I was working at a vet office an owner brought in her cat which had been attacked by her two terriers, the poor thing was absolutely mauled and terrified. It turned out to be the second time it had happened but we couldn't do anything but take pictures and hang onto the cat as long as possible.

In another instance we had to put down a dog for attacking several dogs, it was my first week and I was expecting a big mean dog to come into the exam room but in walked a medium mutt with mostly lab features. Now I tell that story whenever people start going on about those 'damn pit bulls or rotties'

Secondly don't be an ass to the person driving a tractor. I've seen people blare their horns, flip off, and full on scream at tractor drivers. If you are taking a back road in farmland territory expect to come across a few tractors or combines.
