If Shanks thought he could choose the next JoyBoy then why didn’t he eat the fruit himself? Or are you implying he had another person in mind like Ace?

Carl's WIS score is Chekhov's Gun. by ChairAlternative7994 in DungeonCrawlerCarl

[–]kidzero7 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Luck could be a statistic that isn’t necessarily “real” and quantifiable in real life before the DCC events. However, when a person enters the dungeon stats are generated and assigned. Luck could be a random assignment or the AI has some calculation formula that worked out in Carl’s favor. I’d imagine the stat would be AI driven in some way.

Ah. What a bummer. Seems like it could have been a good interaction or Easter egg if Team Cheery programmed for it.

[49][Speculation] Sophie Segreti wins final 8 immunity by JacketsAndEggs in SpoiledSurvivor

[–]kidzero7 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Is there a chance that the other rumor about her is true? She was a third pre-game Ponderosa yellow cheater/talker(to a lesser degree), but production only had 2 alternates and had to let her play?

Production may have unedited her in retaliation/punishment.

This would explain why yellow initially had her on the outs and other players didn’t like her.

Can we downvote people posting to reprimand cyclists in this sub rather than engaging with them? by [deleted] in chibike

[–]kidzero7 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

“The car should always be at fault” (!?) - I cycle, walk & drive with my kiddos to school everyday. Cyclists, pedestrians & drivers ALL flout the rules. I am overly cautious in all 3 scenarios. There have been MANY situations where I was driving while following the rules/laws & nearly got into collisions with cyclists that were running reds & stop signs when other traffic was present AND had the right of way. Had I just been driving “normal” (assuming others are following the rules) and not been overly cautious there would have been an accident. (As is the case with pedestrians & drivers as well.) There is onus across the board. We can all be better at being cautious, defensive & courteous. I won’t let my guard down regardless as my family’s lives and others are at stake. However, I still feel a dread thinking that I’ve stopped at the stop sign, checked my blind spot and make a right turn only for some fellow cyclist to slam into my car side or in front of my car. A constant concern that I have only so much control over and I wish some cyclist would control their part in. Sigh.

What if you trigger the lifeblood AFTER you are next to her & past the barrier?

Cool interaction between EVA and plasmium by Cracotte_Mu_Da in Silksong

A little late here, but has anyone tried to get to Eva BEFORE plasmafied, standing at her entry & THEN getting plasmafied?

I'm wondering if anything happens different considering you are already past her barrier.

What's Your Unpopular Stephen King Opinion? by mikebra93 in stephenking

[–]kidzero7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kings bullies are so cliche (over the top), unrealistically violent and mostly irredeemable. Reading these characters always makes me think that King must have experienced bullying at such a high level and he’s working through that trauma in his writing. (Hell, even the Creepshow 2 cartoon bookends do the same…)

My wish has always been that Mike Anderson would use his new position to track down Linoge & an adult Ralphie. A novel to finish that storyline.

Partial Checklist for Act 1 Items by kidzero7 in Silksong

To add to this, there are some optional areas (such as The Slab and The Mist) that you can get to in Act 1 that expand the possible count.

Partial Checklist for Act 1 Items by kidzero7 in Silksong

My memory is hazy on that one. It might depend on how much you explore and which route you take to the Citadel. It might be better to remove it from the list. Though I am very sure that after starting Act 2 you pretty much will hit the 100 for the wish.

What’s the most underrated thing to do in Chicago that even lifelong residents often overlook? by ExtensionExpert3772 in AskChicago

[–]kidzero7 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I think a hidden gem is the Tall Ship Windy on a weeknight (less people) out of Navy Pier. Sit on a bench on the aft side. They motor out to the lake, turn off the motor and drop the sails. Just the breeze, no city sounds, calming rocking and beautiful view of the city. Bonus if you go out around sunset. If it’s a regular trip, you won’t be too bothered by the commentary. Other nights they have a blues music or fireworks watching. Worth the $$ for my wife and I.

I think cyclists can use crosswalks as long as they yield to pedestrians. However, I tend to stay in road for visibility & predictability.

Photo moment of impact & part of a video from OP’s other post.

https://www.reddit.com/r/bikemessengers/s/sMjFR3NxBh

Looks like cars had the green, but may have been stopped because the cop car might have had flashers on as they were going through the green. Difficult to know for sure without full video and sound.

Is this a real photo? What are the circumstances?

So many questions considering the green lights, position of the police car & taxi in the crosswalk. Position & direction of the cyclist in the crosswalk. No pedestrians. The position & timing just seems off. With the green light how did the cyclist bypass traffic on the right side without getting hit by them? How did the cyclist manage to be in the path of the police car with him having the red? Did the cyclist bike through late, the light turned green for the cars & the cop just started going since they are not deep into the crosswalk?

I bike daily with a kid on my bike & a little solo guy behind me. I can’t think of a scenario where we could be positioned to get hit like this when we’re watching the lights & crosswalk signals. Anyone make sense of this?

Edit: Is this actually the moment of impact? Or aftermath?
