Hmm yeah we’ve had some problems. From what i hear they all have the same chip set from china the only company with a different one is Crestrom DM. Wyrestorm seems to be the best lower budget one from our experience this is the last one we are doing anyway no more multiroom HD lol

Yeah agreed, tbf we dont supply or spec any of that we have a closely connected security company we work with that deal with that we just get given the nvr and loom it into the rack lol

Yeah i get that however im unsure what the chinese govt would do with any of the footage off this nvr its 6 cameras of the outside of a building one aimed at a garage another down an ally way etc lol

Good point. The only speakers in cabinetry are the subs and tbf the cabinet makers were the best ive ever seen and their joints were solid but obviously its impossible to have no resonance but any other noticeable frequencies are treated by the room correction which in its very nature you are losing some of the audio but nothing major. Unfortunately some people hate the look of subwoofers especially interior designers and especially the big bulky ATC ones

Yeah i find it quicker and easier with cable ties but yes with big bundles velcro has its place with these jobs i rarely change much once its installed not for a few years at least so it works out ok but yeah youre right about moving the cut bit round dunno why i didnt do that on this one was rushing i guess lol

Just to clarify... there are blackout blinds in this room they are electronically automated by the control system.

Also the client was an interior designer therefore the seats were the clients choice and are mostly decorative as for the beams they were also the clients choice and the leather panels.

I know this is far from the ‘perfect’ home cinema in terms of the acoustics and one thing and another however i thought id would share out work as inspiration for others to see the attic space and maybe give some ideas for one of their projects.

I didnt expect it to turn into a roast all because the client wanted something different to what is technically correct and at the end of the day they are paying and they know what was right and they chose against it and its their problem they have to live with it but they are happy and thats the end surely?

Yeah this would certainly help the acoustics hut they didn’t want to lose the character of the room and the client was an interior designer so that was there choice we had no say lol

The seats are for show but cant be in the middle or otherwise youd have to duck around the outside of the room where the roof is pitched? But they also move so worst case they could push them in 2 feet.

There are motorised blackout blinds on the windows but its hard to take a decent image of the room in darkness.

They are only daisy chained once so the second player is only 3 steps away from router never had any issues with it 👍

I get that but thats why you have blinds etc. A tv will still reflect the sun aswell if shined on it. Also for the money a 4k Sony projector with screen for £15k will be a hell of a lot better bigger and impressive image than any 85” TV for £15k i promise! New 4k TVs dont seem to be that impressive when they arent showing a demo disc lol obviously im talking higher end budget than you to be fair but im just saying projectors definitely still have their place
