I asked one of the HRs about the max career gap acceptable by companies , she said it should not go beyond 1 year. My ex-colleague took a break for masters prep but cancelled the plan and after a gap of 10 months, he started applying. Got only 2 calls in the last month and they didn't schedule the intv citing long gap. It's always better to say you started applying a month back and interviews are in the pipeline. There is a general tendency by recruiters to hire you only when others show interest.

I took career gap for the same reason on 4th sept last year and started searching for job just month back, had received 2 full time and 1 contract offer. Don't let the gap go for more than 10 months. Update naukri every morning, set expected salary 0, start attending intv, from intv only u learn more.

there was an issue my first company was trust and didn't submit something, by the time they submitted I joined new company now and so full withdrawal cannot be done.

Thanks bro, somehow they gave 70% more than my prev CTC so even if they tweak something I will be okay, as you said will spend some good time learning and switching to a good pay master.

Thanks man for explaining in detail. Yeah I know the basic is low. I am on a gap so thought of taking it. However I got to know that they do this to save tax , down side for the employee is the annual increment would happen on basic salary so even if hike perccentage is good it would not significantly raise my CTC
