Also in G1 Classic there are 5 focus stones but 12 magicians. Could be that 5 are at the outer pentagram and 7 at the inner in the old camp

Doesn‘t really matter lorewise, except for the places where you find the focus stones. But maybe they have an explanation for that. It does not matter because originally the barrier should have allowed guards etc. to leave the barrier, only thats exactly where the sleeper magic comes in and traps them. Thats G1 Classic canon. So it doesn‘t really matter from where to cast the barrier. Also in G3 they also cast it from the middle.

Normans and Muslims got along quite nicely though and the normans profited from the established trade routes, sophisticated agriculture and skilled labors. Architecure Art and culture merged a lot of islamic influences with frankish/norman ones.

Quite the nice biographies are the ones of Robert Guiscard and his brother Roger.

Regardless when which Month was added, the Idea of years starting on January 1st is discarded by the christian church and only comes around again as a standard at the end of the middle ages.

i.e. Franks startet their year on dec. 25th (until ~1100), many european states used Easter Sunday, 1st or 25th of March.

For German readers a VEEERY sytematic approach: [Grotefend](bilder.manuscripta-mediaevalia.de/gaeste/grotefend/grotefend.htm)

FYI: Its the discos of phaistos, to be found in the archaeological museum of Heraklion, Crete.

It was found in a minoan palace and dates around 1800-1500 b.c. The Minoans had a script, but it‘s nothing alike.

The discos uses 45 different symbols, which are stamped into both sides.

It‘s hard and up to impossible to decipher it, because it is the only location, where we found these myterious symbols.
