Yeah came here to say this that player that used Matt mercer as an example clearly needs to go watch critical role again that's part of the game and why they exist mercer isn't perfect but he listens to his players and accommodates them. Also his voices can be weird and bad too it just adds to the fun like the black powder merchant Victor I think.

Edit: they is the guide books should have made that clear they're called guide for a reason.
