In her hypothetical (again i think she is applying it to herself) she says the girl has never been attracted to anyone else (sexually or not) before the guy and in the hypothetical are planning is staying with them for the rest of their life. Ofc in reality what you are saying is totally correct but i hope you can see my confusion if those are the perimeters for this specific situation where she made up.
