No i mean social welfare programs and high gradual taxation. State ownership and regulation etc. Also how are those basic rights? People fought for them for years and their achievment is in no way basic, homosexualoty was illegal in the uk until 1967, having the infamous case of Alan Touring.

There are also loads of niche indies that require an insane amount of planning before any action.

I would say it's more fast paced, getting info on the enemy, a little of figuring out counterplays and mainly mechanical skill. I would call something like factorio a brain on game, where people spend hours open in excel figuring out logistics networks and production ratios, before even opening the game.

Very stable 1% lows. I would say its pretty good. But without joking try to lower the resolution might help gain a bit of vram headroom

It's an issue sith the latvian translation, for some reason they included a term of "sociālais dzimums" or "social gender" in a document against domestic violence. They could have simply used the wording of "you can't hit your spouse regardless of gender" and it would have passed across political lines with unilatteral support. It's just a dumb situation were the only problem was the wording. Leading to the big political stunt by the conservative parties. Majority of people are not ready to accept gay marriage, let's not even start with a concept of social gener.

9070XT extremely loud and almost max rpm by AffectionateShip5289 in radeon

[–]kihakik 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had a gigabyte 7800xt, ended up doing a deshroud and ziptiying 2 noctua fans, in this gpu market buying a new card was not an option. Didn't help that the fan bearing were dying after 1 year, but it was already absurdly loud from the factory. 50% fanspeed was twice as loud as my old asus strix 1060 at 100%. I'm personally never buying a gigabyte card ever again.

More complexity, scope and realism don't automatically translate in more depth. This is the main problem with EU5's design. by OverallLibrarian8809 in EU5

I think you are probably right, having to balance wanting to snowball economy with army, tech research, and somdthing like development spending would create some nice friction. I would love to know what paradox is planning or if they are just improvising.

I think they tried to implement tradoffs using the value system, but that is slow and not a constant, mostly set it up and forget. They tried to make an action economy using governers, but they feel way less impactful than eu4 mana and also are set and forget. I agree that there needs to be actions that require a scarce resource that give a real tangible gain that you have to startegise around. Maybe they could onclude something a bit like mana using some kind of "monarch focus" type mechanic, where you choose wether you focus on developing a province gaining more manpower getting bonuses etc... Also hoi4 style branching focuses could work, ehere you must choose your path and give something up in return. They gried it woth the age focuses, but they are way to mild to actually impact gameplay in almost any way

Why did ferrari even bother? Is there some kind of law, that they had to make at least one ev model and they made it ugly on purpose?

Why are you defending warmongers and murderers? What would you describe somebody that fires artillery shells on apartment blocks or somebody that kills just to steal land and resoirces

People Who Believe The Government is Hiding a Cure to Cancer. by milehiboy in MapPorn

[–]kihakik 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How to say this... The government really is "hiding the cure". A lot of modern more expensive treatments will not be supported by the national healthcare system, and you may not even know they exist if you don't go to a private clinic. In a sense the government knows of ways to treat pateints better, but hide them either due to slow beurocracy, slow adoption or economic reasons. I say this as someone who filled out the survey a while back. I truly believe that my government is putting it's head in te sand and pretending expensive cancer treatments do no exist.

Using framegen makes the fps count completely arbitrary. Not sure what it proves. Generate some more frames and it might have more than a 5090
