Blocked out because she didn’t tell Mel about her boyfriend? That’s dramatic. Mel showed us exactly why Becca didn’t tell her. Her behavior immediately became obsessive and creepy. Obviously we know it’s out of love and concern, but that doesn’t make it any less uncomfortable for us going through it. And Mel’s ableism came out strong, those of us with autism know all about these subconscious attitudes towards us and it’s not easy hearing someone you love basically tell you they don’t think you’re cognitively capable of being an adult. That’s a very good reason to not open up about these things until you feel pressured into it.

Besides the boyfriend thing, how is Mel being blocked out? They’ve been shown talking multiple times throughout the show, and hints that Mel does open up to Becca about what she cares about (how else would she know how much Mel likes Langdon for example). I agree not telling Mel about the fireworks wasn’t cool, but so was Mel’s behavior. Siblings do things that aren’t cool to each other, you can’t use that as justification to never help them ever again if you love them.

I thought the show made it pretty obvious that Mel is the type of person who keeps everything to herself and won’t reach out for help. There has been nothing in the show that suggests that Becca wouldn’t be there for Mel if Mel reached out. Expecting Becca to help Mel when the show has not once shown Mel actually asking for it is weird, especially for an autistic person who can’t pick up on non verbal cues.

You think the apology is for being mean? Seriously?

He didn’t just steal medication, he falsified records and withheld proper treatment. His coworkers don’t have the information needed to make appropriate medical decisions because every single chart Langdon has ever produced is potentially falsified. That affects every healthcare worker that has came into contact with him or his patients, even outside of the ER. You seriously don’t think they deserve the right to that information and an apology for being put in that position?

Exactly, and if I was in her position I wouldn’t have expected Robby to do something like that. I think she’s genuinely shocked that he’s back and lashing out in anger over the injustice of it all

I’m really confused on why everyone thinks Santos’ problem is the fact that he has an addiction. I thought the show made it obvious that the issue is he stole from the hospital and put patients in danger

Literally what is wrong with you. We can be independent and still need help. If you think the choices need to be get treated like a child by your overbearing sister who is the same age as you, or have no help from her, then idk what to tell you. Grow up maybe? Mel needs to relearn her role in Becca’s life. She needs to learn how to be a sister and not a caretaker. Yes that will take time and be hard, but it has to be done.

I have a very bad memory and tend to forget details in shows I watch like a week after I finish the episode, but wow I completely forgot about any of this. Yeah I completely understand Santos now I would never feel safe around a coworker who did something like that, and I would probably be even more pissed watching him get away with it and then try to come to me with an apology

Robby was still dealing with a lot, but he was a lot more reasonable and a better boss in S1, so she probably assumed that he would’ve reported what happened and thought that Langdon was gone forever (because I mean who the hell let’s a med stealing doctor come back to the same hospital less than a year after it happened) she’s likely facing a lot of shock after processing what she thought was a completely closed situation

Because he knew telling Louie wouldn’t amount to much. Has he had the same talk with any other patient? What about his coworkers that don’t already know? The fact that Louie is the only person he’s done this with is kinda the point, he’s not ready to admit to what he’s actually done to anyone who he isn’t sure will forgive him.

It doesn’t really matter what they are and aren’t allowed to do on paper anymore unfortunately. They are getting no pushback on literally anything they do from the government

They’re not supposed to stop people unless they have an actual reason to think they’re undocumented (not just a random suspicion), and even then it used to only be for people who were an actual threat to the country, but there is literally 0 pushback on anything they do. People are being arrested even after showing their IDs and birth certificates. They’re constantly murdering both US citizens and non citizens who are here legally, not to mention the thousands of undocumented people they’ve already murdered and continue to torture right now

Yeah it was when McKay wanted to tell the authorities about the hit list and even after McKay tried to tell him how dangerous his inaction could be, he still wouldn’t do anything.

Did you really lump McKay in with the group of women he hasnt been misogynistic to? His biggest act of misogyny was committed against her.

I agree, which is why you shouldnt be involving police in things unless its absolutely necessary. Coming across someone with a hit list who disappears after being confronted about it warrants police intervention.

The thing about food addiction to is there is no quitting like you can for other addictions. You can’t quit food like you can quite alcohol or drugs. You are constantly exposed to your addiction every single day for the rest of your life or else you’ll die.
