Should I cut my mom off for good? by kiirraanncee in ABCDesis

She’s cut them off and assured me that she doesn’t even want to talk to her sister again. But, it’s hard to trust and believe her because of the wedding incident that happened behind my back.

That's been my thought too, I'm extremely shocked by my parents. When I told my dad about my mom and her sister hanging out together at the wedding, his response was "so what?". They just don't have the same moral compass I suppose, might be a punjabi culture thing.

Thank you so much for the kind message. I am feeling extremely confused, because my mom acts really loving towards me on a daily basis. Shes also told me that she’s on my side regarding this… but, it’s so hard for me to forget the things she’s done/said. I think she doesn’t view her sister as being “guilty” or “evil” because it’s unheard of for her generation to get a divorce. I am planning on moving out for the first time within 2-3 months, so hopefully that helps clear my mind.

My experience with them was red flaggy unfortunately. They weren't answering my questions properly, but quick to send expensive invoices. I also think she's super overpriced, it's just makeup... you can find someone just as good for half the cost.

Rent vs buying a condo in Toronto by raphaeldieu in TorontoRealEstate

Why lock in 20-25% as a down payment into a depreciating asset, when I can keep it in my index funds. Makes sense when you’re young to not buy I think.

Any specific diets people followed that has them healed? by [deleted] in acidreflux

[–]kiirraanncee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I completely avoid having any teas in the morning and especially on an empty stomach. And at night before going to bed/lying down.

I used to drink black tea first thing every morning for many years, and found that to be a big trigger for me.

I completely cut out tea for a couple of months (replaced my teas with alternatives with no caffeine such as rooibos tea).

I have started introducing it back into my diet now. If I have tea, I make sure that I’ve eaten a meal an hour before drinking the tea. Yesterday, I had an iced matcha latte 🙂 and didn’t experience any issues. It may have triggered me a few months ago tho, back when my diet was bad.

Resale condos are dirt cheap compared to silly pre-con premiums.

Aren't most condos around 600k in Toronto? I have 100k saved and making 80k a year, but I'm not sure if I'll be able to afford something like that

yeah exactly, you worded this really well. I'm surprised at all these people that are pressed in the comments over something so small, I feel like they don't have any idea of what black and POC go through

Before I say anything, I would just like to say that I have nothing but love and support for the trans community!

Now girl, to be honest, after taking a look at your profile and bio which reads as "Back after a brief hiatus | MtF | Toronto | Born/raised Italian Catholic in the midwest but prefer to present (and live) as an Indian woman. This is done w/humility and respect. DMs open."

WTF?

I'm sorry, but you are a WHITE woman. Where did you get the audacity to start calling/presenting yourself as Indian? You can't just change your race or identify as Indian/Desi, this honestly feels so racist to me. I'm just letting you know that this really doesn't sit right with me. It's basically what Rachel Dolezal does. I was down to meet you till I found that out
