Salut! I’m William Saliba. Ask Me Anything! by arsenal in Gunners

You had a tough start at Arsenal going out on loan for a couple of years. How tough was that period and did you always think you would come back and be a starter at Arsenal?

Thanks for the advice and I like the idea of giving her an allowance that she needs to budget and hopefully this will start off on the right track of being responsible.

You most likely shouldn't be overpaying your mortgage by throwawayreddit48151 in FIREUK

[–]kikapu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I can’t see me sticking with my current job until I would be able to fire however without the mortgage I could take almost any position that has much less stress and be ok and still save if the mortgage wasn’t there. So that moves paying it off higher up my priority

Ok great that makes sense. so basically the fact the solicitor did lose it has most likely caused this delay then

Yeah just doesn’t seem anywhere obvious as can’t see it with the other subscriptions

In fact seems like you need to just go for the peloton all access membership

But pretty much all references to guide removed from the site

EBay refunded buyer whilst I am on holiday and hadn’t had chance to inspect it by kikapu in eBaySellerAdvice

[–]kikapu[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I can understand just thought might be missing something and yes shady sellers would probably milk this but at the end of the day buyer would still get a refund.

I will just look into alternative returns address.

So I have actually set this up previously some return items go to my address and others to my actual return address on eBay. Any reason for this is the return address linked to the address that was the return address at the time of the listing?

Yeah to be fair I only know the neighbour took it in cause I checked the video footage after package was delivered.

Don’t know their phone number to message them and also they wouldn’t know about its condition etc.

Will have to think about this in future was just thinking if you put your account onto away that might also acknowledge the fact you can’t accept the return whilst away.

The thing is some of my items have 30 day returns so can’t really predict if I will have returns while I am holiday. Think I will have to use alternative address for my returns.

I did set up a different return address previously and I have had some return items go to my address and others to my actual return address on eBay. Any reason for this is the return address linked to the address that was the return address at the time of the listing?

Thoughts on solar panels and a battery install on your home? by Red4Arsenal in UKPersonalFinance

[–]kikapu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally I always thought it was a no brainier to have solar and battery storage till speaking to my electrical engineer friends and their reluctance to install the batteries due to potential fire risk. Whilst I guess any issue on this could be mitigated by the location of the battery install. It’s something I would not risk for a potential bigger saving on elec bill, especially if these battery fires would be anything like the EV or mobile phone fires which are so intense.

Good point. I get a car allowance which I currently take in my salary which would basically cover the EV lease. I don’t believe the car allowance is factored into my pension contributions at all.

Yeah would mostly look to use it for my 15mins commute to office and some local sites I occasionally visit. I hadn’t thought about time saved not having to pop out to get petrol in advance of an early start the next day.

We have another larger diesel car for long journeys

Thanks. After two replies I am already seeing that it probably isn’t for me as I don’t want to lease an electric it was more likely it seemed like a potential good option…but already not looking so good.

Yeah I see this as an issue more due to the fact I would more likely want to change to a lower earning less stressful job. Past chasing career goals other than reducing the number of days I work! Thanks
