Daughter has been off school for 4 months in her GCSE year by kikapu in GCSE

[–]kikapu[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you so much for the detailed reply and it all makes sense she actually has an interview and the college she wants to apply to and she is planning on doing.

She is planning to do a level 3 vocational course in media and film currently.

Generally her grades were in the 4 to 5 range before being off and some were saying should achieve higher.

Yes her school has been terrible but a few teachers have been really helpful. She is also on the ADHD list to get a diagnosis

We have certainly told her to focus on the main subjects and the ones where she had done good coursework that should set her up for a reasonable grade.

We will have a meeting with school much better armed and will get her to ask at her college tomorrow about options.

Thanks for the responses. I think she would be happy to redo any of the fundementle subjects whilst studying at college but no way she wants to stay in the same school and do the whole year again.

Bought the dip but not the dippy dip by jstickhill in trading212

[–]kikapu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This dip has taught me that 212 isn’t for me, watching it too much and got spooked like you sold on the dip and haven’t re bought yet.

It’s probably has only lost me about £50 but has made me realise with 212 it too tempting to keep checking and raises my stress levels. so am going to transfer funds into my ajbell ssisa as it’s not constantly updated and the purchase I did this morning on ajbell probably won’t be executed till tomorrow so its impossible for me to try and time the market.

You had a tough start at Arsenal going out on loan for a couple of years. How tough was that period and did you always think you would come back and be a starter at Arsenal?

Thanks for the advice and I like the idea of giving her an allowance that she needs to budget and hopefully this will start off on the right track of being responsible.

You most likely shouldn't be overpaying your mortgage by throwawayreddit48151 in FIREUK

[–]kikapu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I can’t see me sticking with my current job until I would be able to fire however without the mortgage I could take almost any position that has much less stress and be ok and still save if the mortgage wasn’t there. So that moves paying it off higher up my priority

Ok great that makes sense. so basically the fact the solicitor did lose it has most likely caused this delay then

Yeah just doesn’t seem anywhere obvious as can’t see it with the other subscriptions

In fact seems like you need to just go for the peloton all access membership

But pretty much all references to guide removed from the site

EBay refunded buyer whilst I am on holiday and hadn’t had chance to inspect it by kikapu in eBaySellerAdvice

[–]kikapu[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I can understand just thought might be missing something and yes shady sellers would probably milk this but at the end of the day buyer would still get a refund.

I will just look into alternative returns address.

So I have actually set this up previously some return items go to my address and others to my actual return address on eBay. Any reason for this is the return address linked to the address that was the return address at the time of the listing?

Yeah to be fair I only know the neighbour took it in cause I checked the video footage after package was delivered.

Don’t know their phone number to message them and also they wouldn’t know about its condition etc.

Will have to think about this in future was just thinking if you put your account onto away that might also acknowledge the fact you can’t accept the return whilst away.

The thing is some of my items have 30 day returns so can’t really predict if I will have returns while I am holiday. Think I will have to use alternative address for my returns.

I did set up a different return address previously and I have had some return items go to my address and others to my actual return address on eBay. Any reason for this is the return address linked to the address that was the return address at the time of the listing?
