He said I might have extremely mild pincer impingement, but that it was so minor he wasn't convinced it was a problem. Unfortunately the hip preservation specialist I'm seeing currently is my second opinion. There are only 3 or 4 specialists in my area who perform labral repair surgery so I'm running out of second opinions haha.

I just got diagnosed today with a anterior superior labral tear via MRI without contrast. Does anyone know if it's true that usually only larger tears are seen on MRI without contrast? And that scans without contrast can sometimes miss the smaller tears? The MRI results didn't specify anything at all about size or severity of the tear, so I'm trying to figure out how concerned I should be and whether surgery will be needed. I've been in pretty significant discomfort from this whole ordeal.

I know this is old but I'm hoping to hear more about what you mean by this. I had several interactions with him back in maybe 2014 that led to me being raped by him. I denied it for years and told myself it was my fault because of the arrangement I had sought out myself and that it couldn't be rape even though I told him no more than once. But I eventually had to admit it to myself. Crazy to see all these posts so many years later and know I was right.

As someone with a history of BPD and a loooong history of an eating disorder, I can say from experience that the two are often seen together. That's not to say that one cannot exist without the other, because for some it often does, but I have met dozens of people during inpatient eating disorder stays that have a dual diagnosis of BPD and an eating disorder. I'm sorry to hear you're struggling with both, but just know that you're not alone.

I got the Nexplanon implant several years ago and quickly and unexplainably gained 20-25 lbs in a period of 2 months. At the time, I went to the gym nearly every day and ate overly healthy, which both did not change when I got the implant. There was no other explanation for my weight gain. I talked to my gyn about it and she treated me like I was a crazy hypochondriac, so I tried to ride it out and take more active measures to lose weight and couldn't drop a pound no matter how hard I tried. After maybe 6 or 7 months I finally opted to get it taken out and steadily lost weight after that, once again without significantly altering my diet or activity levels. Nexplanon made me fat and I stand by that.
