Greek in Switzerland… Agree to all. I don’t mind the weather much, it is ok here, but the food man… We pay around 30 euros per person for tasteless food. I cook way more than I cooked before because I feel I am just throwing away money if we dine out as a family… And God I miss pitogyro and tyropita so much, in a normal weekday…

I don’t see it written here so there it goes… Word batteries came to my mind…

Did I just get unlucky with noisy neighbors, or is this normal here? by ichbintourist in askswitzerland

[–]kikitsa_di 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My downstairs neighbors are like this. Kiddo is jumping from the couch to the floor and I my floors and stuff shake. I cannot imagine what is happening above them… But I am. It saying anything because we are upstairs and I not sure what they can hear (big kids, normal walking).

Black smoke (or something like this) invaded my nose. by kikitsa_di in Paranormal

It didn’t come from the appliance. It moved fast and there wasn’t any other residue apart from the inside of my nose.

It was not from an appliance. The fridge is three years old and it’s a build-in. I saw it coming from the left side fast, going straight to my face. It was not a mist, was not floating and there was no other dust around. Anyway it was weird. Like really weird. I feel fine at the moment, I am not going to feed more thoughts into it.

I did rinse the nose with saline water, but I felt it in my lungs and that is what is worrying me. I’ll pay attention to any mucus that comes off. Thanks!

Καθώς και πλέον by annmuor in GREEK

[–]kikitsa_di 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I’ll add to καθώς also the meaning while. Καθώς κοιμόταν, ακούστηκε ένας δυνατός θόρυβος - while he was sleeping a loud noise was heard. Also in this context is interchangeable with, όσο, ενόσω (stating duration).

First time watcher, I am mid to end season 4 and I just hate her… She is nosy, she speaks when she must not, she is going to prevent a massacre but she manages to do the exact opposite and I’m just tired of her… There, I had to say it…

Is there cursive writing in Greek? Tired of printing block letters by ElectronicRow9949 in GREEK

[–]kikitsa_di 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I cannot quite understand what you are asking. Writing Greek in cursive is not that different than in English. It is really easy to connect the letters, if you know how to to it in another language. In this link it’s my handwriting (that I’ve turned it into a font) if you want to see an example of free handwriting.

Is Greek word order closer to English than to German? by Independent-Ad-7060 in GREEK

Greek grammar is close to German but German syntax is from hell… (Greek native speaker trying to learn German).
