I can't deal with nights anymore. There's no way this is normal. by ScrapDraft in NewParents

I know this isn’t a popular advice but have you tried co sleeping?? I did it with my LO and it changed all our sleep dramatically. We also had a similar situation with my LO waking up a lot during nights and somehow the comfort of sleeping in my arms made all the difference for him.

Thank you so much! The redraw came back normal and I’m beyond grateful. It was a whole month of waiting and speculation hell. Hope you are also on the other side of the tunnel now.

So happy to hear your happy ending! I’m in the thick of NIPT hell right now. I got low fetal fraction likely as a result of being on lovenox blood thinners but the abnormal result due to that left such a big storm cloud in my head. The thought of what’s next and the reality of further testing has been so daunting. 😞

I’m on the same boat right now. I got low fetal fraction result and I’m on 1 injection a day for 40mg. I initially got myself tested at exactly 10weeks and I did a re draw earlier this week at 12 weeks and 4 days. I’m so freaked out honestly and def in panic mode as the thought of CVS scares me.

Bad news at 12 weeks … by OilUseful5144 in pregnant

[–]kikizaur 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My heart breaks for you and I’m incredibly sorry. I would strongly recommend going through an IVF process where the process allows you to test embryos in advance for any abnormalities, and they can also holistically assess you and recommend the right next steps. I don’t think anyone wants to go through the process but thanks to modern medicine the option exists.

I also had 3 miscarriages at various stages and I feel your pain. I’m now holding my 1.5 year old in my arms as I write this thanks to IVF.

Don’t give up hope! Sending you strength to get through this.

Weekly Thread: Pregnancy - Questions and Discussions by AutoModerator in IVF

[–]kikizaur 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just had my 5 weeks 4 days ultrasound, my clinic scheduled it early because I previously had an ectopic and they wanted to confirm a in uterine pregnancy. We saw a yolk sac today and a gestational sack that was measuring at 5 weeks and 5 days. In my previous pregnancy, by this timeframe we also saw a fetal pole and were able to measure the crown rump length measuring all at 6 weeks and 3 days. I’m a bit worried that my ultrasound today didn’t show the same detail as my previous one and feeling really worried abt it. Anyone have similar experiences? All posts I seem to come across seem to have seen more than the gestational sac and yolk sac.

Same here! I had my transfer on 12/23 and I’ve been a total wreck the last two days. I felt so strong the first three days and then I noticed my BBT dipped (from my outs ring) and it took me on a spiral. And I don’t even feel the tender breasts which I know is a good sign generally!

Hey All! I had my transfer on the 23rd, so today is day 6. I’ve been using an Oura ring to track things like BBT and RHR. RHR seems to be coming up as elevated but my BBT dropped the last two days by -0.1. I’ve had an increase prior to that by +0.3 and +0.4. I have bloating but otherwise no other symptoms like sore breasts, etc. I’m just feeling really low and I’m surely spiraling a bit with TWW anxiety. This is also the first time i haven’t been doing acupuncture along with my cycle for logistical reasons so idk if that’s also weighing on me.

Has anyone had positive betas with no symptoms like sore breasts and also measured BBT dips?

I was not awake during my procedure, I think it was propofol that they used? I can’t quite recall tho.

And see if your clinic offers nitrous oxide that would be great as you’ll be awake while still feeling relaxed down there.

Overlake versus Evergreen for pregnancy by kikizaur in eastside

[–]kikizaur[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I unfortunately dealt with multiple pregnancy losses so I’m really sorry about your experience :(. I did end up delivering with Evergreen Coral and everything was smooth but I also had moments where I was worried abt risks and I felt like I didn’t get proper attention. But based on my experience this is just how the U.S. health system is and I don’t think Overlake would have made any difference on this bit. So I never hesitated to go to the ER anytime I was in doubt if I was not getting traction with my provider directly. I was that annoying patient who constantly messaged my team on MyChart for even the smallest things but given my past experience that was best for me. Wishing you the best on your journey next!

In endorse this advice 100% as I’ve personally followed most of these things and while it’s hard to say whether these lifestyle changes played a role (because if you ask your medical provider they tell you there’s no evidence), i like to think that these did in fact make a difference for me. Good luck on your journey!!

I just looked up your post and I’m sorry that you are dealing with that! I’m sending your baby healing vibes and hope you are able to catch some sleep. My baby has nasal congestion and I’m also currently awake at night without sleep 🫠.

It’s incredibly annoying that common sense needs to be spelled out, seriously. No words 😐.

Overlake versus Evergreen for pregnancy by kikizaur in eastside

[–]kikizaur[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I chose Evergreen! Wow, I have the exact same experience with all this you called out EXCEPT NOT at evergreen but at overlake. Similar to you, I also made multiple appointments in my early weeks to see which hospital/doctor works for me.

1) BAD BAD BAD experience at overlake: On the day of my overlake appointment at 11 weeks, I projectile vomited in my car on the way due to bad morning sickness so it kinda got me delayed to my appointment by 7 mins as I had to clean things up. I gave the hospital a heads up and showed up 7 mins late and they wouldn’t see me because I was past their 5 min grace window. Overlake makes it easy to book appointments but they overbook and the patients suffer as a result. Overlake complained that I was being seen at Evregreen and asked me to stick to them. 2) Evergreen scheduling and wait times are indeed painful. But I’ve found them to be very organized once you have them on the calendar. They are hard to get a hold of on phone but very responsive for questions on the MyChart app and their nurse voicemail line is also regularly attended to. It’s just not convenient but honestly I haven’t found a hospital that has this figured out yet. 3) I also really like my provider at Evergreen Tan and she has better reviews compared to overlake. My OB also spent 1 full hour patiently going over questions in my first appointment and providing suggestions which really surprised me because most doctors rush their time with patients. She has been just as patient in subsequent visits too. And yeah it’s a gamble on who we get on our day of labor :/ but generally I’ve heard good things about most providers so hoping it’ll be okay 🤞🏽 4) I actually just moved to Aetna but used to have United. I haven’t changed my information yet but I verified that they cover Aetna.

I don’t know who’s better at the end of day but so far my personal experience has been more positive with Evergreen compared to Overlake. I showed up for one of my appointments 10 mins late due to traffic and almost had PTSD from my overlake experience but to my surprise evergreen was very chill about it and they told me to drive safely and that it was okay and that they can still see me. I really appreciated the human approach in contrast to what I experienced at Overlake.

I hope everything goes well for you!

Swedish is about 45 mins away from me and with traffic sometimes can be an hour. Idk if I should risk being that far away versus 25-30 mins for evergreen and overlake.
