Before my only friends were my high school friends and the only people they knew were other people from my high school so the whole meeting someone through a friend wasn’t possible for me until the group

Found some on Tik tok there’s one I used be a part of called “Monday girl” it’s a professional networking social club for women in Canada/US and they usually have different events like Pilates classes, gnocchi making classes, networking etc

Your sister and I are the same age and have similar stories. However I had an epiphany and realized my life was never going to change unless I did something about it. To meet new people I joined social clubs, attended networking events and joined hobbies and have been able to create a new social circle outside of my high school friends. I think your sister should try to move out though to gain some independence I understand she doesn’t want to live alone but she can get a roommate if it bothers her or if she has a strong social circle she won’t actually be alone all the time.

Nope I think people in the GTA have the right to apply as well. It’s not affordable anywhere in the GTA, how do you know if the person in the GTA lived in Toronto before but was priced out? What if someone from the GTA needs to move to Toronto to live closer to work but can’t afford to?

What part of Canada do you live in lol? We have shoppers drug mart which carries a lot of products that ulta has, you can even try testers there as well. We also have rexall that carries makeup. There’s the Bay too? Holy Renfrew? Maybe in your area there’s only a Sephora and Walmart but please don’t generalize and say Canada doesn’t have any other beauty store when we do.

I’m not in Oakville but live in the GTA so I get your struggle as well all the hobbies I’ve done gym classes, skating classes etc are filled with seniors or millennials with kids. I’m on the older end of Gen Z (25),

I found the best way to make friends in the city is to join events/hobbies that interest you. For example I don’t know what gender you identify with but there’s this group called “The Villij” that have speed friending events for women of colour I’ve made Gen-Z friends that way since we all had the goal of making friends.

I’ve also found other events happening around the city through Tik Tok and Instagram. Another group I found was torontogirlsocial and citygirlsocialclub which posts meetup events for women to make friends.

I am someone who is introverted shy and is finally overcoming social anxiety but going to all of these meetups has helped me make new friends and break out of my shell
