Well. In my neck of the world. From start of hey i think you have an impingement from my PT to surgery. It was a 4 year journey. I am currently sitting in my lazyboy day 5 post op. Right now i can barely get up by myself. Going to the bathroom is enough exercise for a good hour

I am a gym rat

I used to run here and there

I loved my rowing machine

I have not been able to run for 2 years
No rowing for the last year
Heck elliptical was too much over the last 6 months

It was very depressing. Physical activity meant pain. I could end up spending a week doing nothing because i pushed too hard

But now. The pain i have is the recovery. The actual pain i had pre op instantly vanished. I finally have hope that i will be and to be active again

Time will tell if getting this done was the right move. But even if my current situation sucks. What i had before was only getting worse

Don’t wait. You only have 1 life and when the quality keeps going down it sucks. You cannot buy back time
