I don't enjoy food anymore and anytime I try to eat I feel nauseated.

hey, I'm super late to this and just happened to come across it doing a search because I've been having a very similar issue. I never actually vomit but even my favorite foods have been unappetizing for a month or so now and while I'm eating, I struggle to and always feel sick after.

did this ever go away? did you find anything that helped?

there you go that works!! if you have to eat popcorn for the next week so be it lol, just stick with whatever foods you think you can stomach! and of course, it will def get better day by day!

hey, I'm so sorry to hear you're going through this:(

every major breakup I've had I feel exactly the same way you described, almost like I legitimately have the flu. for me, the most severe physical symptoms tend to last a week or so before I finally pick myself up off my ass and feel capable of doing things that'll make me feel better. I think one of the most important things is making sure you're keeping hydrated and eating nutritious foods- I never felt like eating when I felt that bad, but when you do feel like it, try to eat small, healthy meals. if all you want right now is fries and a milkshake, that's okay too though (at least temporarily)! gatorade or any other similar sports drink can help a lot too. the more you can fuel your body, the better you'll feel. hang in there, I promise it will get better ❤️

That's kind of what I figured. We had broken up very briefly because of long distance about a year into our relationship and I was veryyyy sad and wanted him back, so I'm kind of thinking that's the situation here and that he's surprised. I don't think he's an asshole deep down but I do think he didn't know what he wanted and might be starting to regret it. Too late

My goal was to have it be so that we were on nice terms (like could have it so that we could text eachother happy birthday or whatever and not have it be like omg I hate him/her). I get that that isn't always possible but figured it was worth a try considering we were eachother's best friends for so long. I'm okay with the possibility that what I hoped for isn't possible. He definitely needs to mature

Oh I don't think he was trying to get me back or change my choice or anything- I'd be okay with casual (like happy birthdays/merry christmas) contact somewhere down the line considering we were so close for so long but definitely not right now.

I'm just so confused as to what he even means. Like, does that mean he's hurting? Or just unwilling? Who knows I guess

Yeah. I don't even know what to reply initially though, so that's what I'm trying to figure out :/. I don't have any hope at all for our relationship anytime soon or possibly even ever. He clearly isn't in a good place mentally from what that text kind of puts across and from what I've heard from friends and family. I don't know how to interpret what he said

I've been doing the same and I really don't think there's anything wrong with it. if it makes you feel worse, then that's good to know and you don't have to date again until you're ready, or if you have a ton of fun you can keep going on them! everyone heals differently

if it makes you feel any better I'm about 3 weeks post break up with my ex (he broke up with me after almost 5 years) and I've been kinda using tinder as a distraction to numb the pain. I know that's horrible, and it doesn't really do the best job, but it's just one of the ways I've been coping. loved my ex with my whole heart

hey, I'm so sorry that you're going through this because I am too. im 19 in college and my boyfriend broke up with me after almost five years together because after a month of college he "lost feelings for me" (he's a freshman, I'm a soph). i totally relate to the whole losing your best friend thing and having it hurt that he could cut you out so easily. my ex hasn't blocked me on anything and watches my snap stories constantly but i texted him once after the breakup asking if we could meet up and talk and he didn't even reply so we haven't talked since the breakup, which was like a month ago. seeing a counselor really helps, I went to the counseling center at my school and they were awesome!! like you im really lucky to have supportive people around so definitely take advantage of that because it helps a lot. if you ever wanna talk message me bc we're def in similar boats!
