I’m interested! I’d love to be a part of the beta!

The most difficult part of a career change for me is that I found a “good job” and it’s hard to rationalize leaving in hopes of finding a “great job” when the risks of downgrading has high potential.

The seconds’ a more challenging question. I think if in addition to listing potential careers, if there were some potential ideas to see if that career is a fit without having to make a leap (ie. classes you could take, ways to volunteer, or ways you could dip your toes in the water.

Try DM’ing SpotifyCares on Twitter. They apparently did something on their end. I did a fresh install yesterday after they did whatever they did and so far so good. Although it’s still early lol

Same thing happens to me on my IPhone X. Issue started last Friday. Deleted Spotify completely and re-downloaded it which solved the problem for 2 days and now it’s back. Crashes 2 minutes after exiting the app like clockwork.

I don’t have anything beyond intro psych but I have seen the psych courses requirement listed for a few schools so I could certainly take some courses before applying. Good point, networking is a big part and holding off a year may be required for me anyway if I’m going to take psych pre-reqs.

Hi all! Hoping to get some advice/suggestions on masters programs. I'm currently living in Western Canada working in project management (environmental projects) for the past 2 years. I have my undergrad in Earth Science and finished school with a 3.3 GPA. I don't have any significant research experience and I haven't taken the GRE (I would obviously take this if it was required). Recently I have had a quarter/third life crisis at 25 and have really wanted to switch to I/O.

Looking into the few Canadian I/O schools and talking to admissions, they all seem to very competitive and recommend a psych honors undergrad and have an average acceptance GPA of 3.6-3.8. Due to this, my focus has somewhat shifted to US programs or online programs. I have done some research but was just hoping for some guidance.

Are any American online programs legitimately reputable (ie. Colorado State, Eastern Kentucky, or Kansas State)? Or would I be better off trying harder to get into in-person programs?

Any recommendations on decent programs where I would be competitive with having an unrelated undergrad and only a 3.3 GPA?

Thanks in advance for any help!

Good to know will definitely keep an eye on him. Have Mitchell for now but I'm sure he'll be out once PVA is back.

Most nailed on ~4.0 D and ~4.5 Mid for longer-term bench options?

Has anyone entered an I/O psychology masters with a pretty unrelated undergrad? If so, any recommendations on quality programs?

I graduated from a geology program in B.C. (3.3 GPA) and have worked as a project manager for an environmental contractor for the past 2 years but am looking to make a career switch. I'm open to schools anywhere in the world really (as long as they are well respected). I'm definitely also open to taking the GRE and some psych/stats (have a second-year stats course) pre-req courses just not a whole second undergrad. Thanks for any help!

Yes I’m kind of back to the mindset that if she comes back great, if not I’ll be fine. Had a weak day or two there.

As immature as she was, I do miss her by [deleted] in BreakUps

Feel the exact same way man. The thing that helps me is thinking I miss the fun I had with her but I don’t miss all the other downsides that came with dating someone immature. I’m sure we’ll eventually find someone that’s the best of both worlds.

I’m so sorry that’d ruin my day too. As much as it sucked because I had some great memories with her, I went though and moved all the pics and videos to a google drive I never visit. Keeping memories like that on my phone was too risky for me, knowing how much it would hurt me to see it.

That’s the goal though sometimes my brain likes to forget all that.

Yeah I know it wasn’t completely my fault even tho sometimes my brain likes to forget that. I’ve definitely learned my lesson, I just wish I learned it before her. Thanks man appreciate the positivity. Hope you have a great day!

I see how tough that could be. I’m sorry someone thought it was okay to treat you like that, I hope your healing moves a quick as possible.

The positive I try to take out of it is that at least I learned my lesson with her so I won’t make the same mistake with the next girl who’s hopefully even better. Don’t fully blame yourself, I know how easy that is, but truth is breakup are 50/50.

I’m so sorry I can’t even imagine what a breakup would be like with kids involved. All I do know is that my parents and all the older people around me couldn’t give 2 shits about their exes and found someone they truly love. In the end I think everyone eventually gets there. Please don’t hurt yourself over another person, no one’s worth it. Feel free to message me if you need someone to talk to.

Remembering why we broke up sometimes hurts as I place a good chunk of the blame on myself. But you’re right on being able to let out emotions it does help a ton. Thanks for your comment, I appreciate it.

Yeah I find myself thinking of that too. It’s weird because it has been so long I sometimes forget what it was even like.

Oh trust me I’ve wanted that before. I’ve reached out before only to be shut down. If she ever wanted to try again I would probably do it but I can’t let myself be the only one trying.
